A huge congratulations and thank you to some of our amazing volunteers who were recently recognised for their dedication, commitment and contribution to Dawlish Action for Youth.

From trustees, fundraisers, volunteers who help in our sessions to senior helpers, each of these individuals has played an important role in supporting our charity and helping us provide opportunities and support for young people across our community.

Certificates and letters of recognition were presented on by the Board of Trustees and members of staff as a small token of our appreciation for the time, energy and enthusiasm they give to DAY.

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they contribute. Thank you for helping make Dawlish Action for Youth the organisation it is today.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Your commitment, kindness, enthusiasm, and generosity of spirit help make Dawlish Action for Youth the organisation it is today. Whether you’re helping to run activities, supporting events, sharing your skills and experience, serving on committees, fundraising, or working behind the scenes, your contribution has a lasting impact on the lives of young people in our community.

You give your time freely, often balancing volunteering alongside work, family, and other commitments, and we are truly grateful for everything you do. Your dedication helps create opportunities, build confidence, inspire ambition, and provide a safe and welcoming environment where young people can grow, learn, and thrive.

Every conversation, every hour volunteered, every idea shared, and every helping hand makes a difference. The positive impact you have on our young people and the wider community cannot be overstated.

Thank you for believing in our mission, supporting our projects, and helping us continue to provide opportunities for the young people of Dawlish. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

DAY received an award for taking part in the Turn the Tide Festival 2026 Wild Pollinator Trail. Well done to the young people for helping prepare the ground and sowing the seeds. The award was presented at The Turn of The Tide event held at Dawlish Community College today. Fingers crossed our little patch of ground starts taking bloom soon 🌻

We need your help!

We’re working to build a stronger, more sustainable future for Dawlish Action for Youth — and that means making sure no one person carries everything alone.

We’re looking for a few new trustees to join our small, friendly team and help share responsibility for this important local charity.

You don’t need previous experience — just a willingness to support young people and your community.

✔ Around 2 -4 hours a month
✔ Friendly, supportive team
✔ A real chance to make a difference locally

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved in something positive in Dawlish, now is a great time. Please help us to ensure our recreational and leisure activities continue for our young people.
