📢 Youth Club, Minecraft Club & Library Opening Hours Update
We wanted to let everyone know about a small change to our library opening arrangements as we head into the darker evenings.
🗓️From Tuesday 13th October, the library will close to the general public from 3pm on Tuesdays.
🗓️From Friday 16th October, the library will close to the general public from 2:30pm on Fridays.
During these times, the library will remain open for young people attending Youth Club or Minecraft Club, and the adults accompanying them only.
🕞 Youth Club runs on Tuesdays from 3:30–5:30pm. Young people attending will need to remain in the building for the full session, regardless of any previous permission to come and go.
🎮 Minecraft Club will also be operating on this basis, with the library being reserved for young people attending the club and the adults accompanying them during the Friday afternoon closure.
🍂 As the evenings get darker and the weather changes, these arrangements are intended to help us provide a safe and welcoming environment for the young people attending all our sessions. Once young people arrive, they’ll need to remain in the building until their session finishes.
We appreciate that this will be a change for some of our regular library users, and we know that closing to the general public earlier may cause some inconvenience. We really value everyone who uses and supports the library and hope that, with everyone’s understanding and flexibility, we can make these arrangements work well for the whole community.

“The Trustees would like to apologise for letting the precedent Raspberry Creatives set for youth clubs continue without review for a whole 12 months. We recognise the disruption this will have on the general users of the library and thank everyone for their flexibility and understanding.”
