🐾❤️ HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! ❤️🐾

Hello from the CAT dogs 🐶🐾

Today is all about celebrating the wonderful dogs who bring so much joy, comfort, laughter and love into our lives - and we certainly have some very special ones here at Creative Action Team! 🥰

Our dogs are so much more than just part of the team. They are our family, friends, companions, bundles of joy and for many of the young people we work with, a source of connection and unconditional acceptance ❤️.

They have an amazing way of making people smile, helping us feel safe and reminding us that sometimes the best therapy and education comes with four paws and a waggy tail 🐕✨.

So today, from all of us (especially the CAT dogs!)…

Happy International Dog Day (all enjoying the hols as you can see) 🐾❤️.

Give your four-legged friends an extra cuddle from us! 🥰🐶

Everyone is enjoying the summer holidays, and we’ve been making the most of the break with some lovely activities, adventures and trips. Thanks to all who have been able to participate and support us over summer.

We’re looking forward to getting back to our usual sessions from 7th September. In the meantime, we’ll be busy continuing to work on our CAT outdoor area, spending plenty of time with our wonderful animals and enjoying the last of the summer.

We’re already looking forward to a fantastic 2026/27 year with you all and can’t wait to see everyone back 💚.

Another busy day in the sun as the team continues to get the outdoor space looking fresh and ready for the new term in September ☀️ .
The new space will have wildlife areas, planters for growing flowers and herbs, sensory trails; the beach hut summer house; space for games, sports and dog activities and a relaxing outdoor seating area.
Making it a great space for a range of uses for humans, dogs and wildlife alike 🪴.

Garden Project Day 1 🌿

A huge thank you to all the families who came along to help us today as we kicked off our garden project.

It was a fantastic, productive day, with everyone getting stuck in - painting, designing, creating sensory walks, sorting fencing and of course making sure the dogs had a great time too 🐾.

We can’t wait to see the project continue to take shape over the coming weeks and make a fantastic usable space for all 🎉 .

Fun on the Farm 🐴🌿!

A huge well done to all the young people who joined us for an afternoon at Vickie’s farm.

We had so much fun exploring the fields to collect tasty forage, making enrichment treats for the ponies to enjoy, meeting the cows and cats (even getting to name a couple!), grooming the ponies and even making them cosy beds.

Along the way, everyone developed their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills while learning about animal care, welfare and enrichment. It was wonderful to see confidence grow as everyone got stuck in, supported one another and showed kindness and respect towards the animals.

Just the start of a summer of enrichment activities for our young people and animals!

Our Summer House Beach Hut is coming together beautifully and perfect for these sunny days 🌞🏖️.

This project has been led by one of our amazing young people, with artwork created by a range of our learners, making it a space that truly reflects everyone's creativity and contributions.

The outside has now been painted, the artwork is in place, and it's really starting to feel like a welcoming, calming space.

Next on our ‘to do list’ :
✨ Sandy style floor being fitted
✨ A handmade table about to be built
✨ A picket fence being installed outside

We're so proud to be creating yet another purposeful, usable space for our young people to enjoy, learn, create and relax in. Seeing their ideas become reality makes all the hard work worthwhile. 💙

Term may be drawing to a close but summer projects are just beginning ☀️.
