All parents/carers, leaders and supporters of our group please help us to share our Raffle Prize request letter to your workplaces, with friends and family, contacts. Let us borrow your links to hop our letter into the hands of someone who might be able to help us 😃
We have hard copies available in the entry room at Wilson House and can email a copy to anyone. We need to fundraise for a replacement second hand minibus so every prize we get to sell every ticket possible is a win!

Calling all our ex wilson house members, families, friends of our group we need your people power!

We need to get our Xmas raffle 2026 prize request letter far and wide - can you ask at work, know someone with a business who might help, have regular banter with the local shop - any creative ways of sharing are accepted 😂

Help us to get our letter off the pile of Xmas charity request letters that no doubt pour in at this time of year and into the hands of someone in a company who can say yes by lending us your connections.

Even if they don’t have an obvious product many will offer a gift card instead so it’s worth a try

Any successes or queries contact us at [email protected] or drop us a message on here.

😊

Tonight we said goodbye to our wonderful Margaret after a whopping 33 years involved in Wilson House Cubs! She said she didn’t want any fuss but we weren’t letting her escape that easily on her retirement. We gave her some lovely autumn flowers, chocolates, a homemade cake - reliably informed Maltesers are her favourites lol - a card from the adults and one of our young leaders made her a special card for the cubs to sneak off and sign - with 34 kids that’s quite a challenge 😂. She was the first face everyone saw each night welcoming the kids in and seeing them to their parents at the end, looked after all of us in the background, was always happy and was in charge of the most important job by far making our brews and sorting the cubs biscuits and drinks 😁 You will be so missed by all of us - have a wonderful, well earned scout retirement 🥰

Congratulation to our superstars who attended their Chief Scout Bronze (top Beavers award) and Chief Scout Silver (top Cubs award) award ceremony this evening - we are all very proud of your hard work 🙂😁

This year we need everyones help in a huge push to raise funds for a new second hand minibus to replace our oldest ailing minibus. All our sections (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and our associated Explorer unit) benefit from our 2 minibuses which cut down transport costs and makes attending camps and activities so much more accessible for us all.
WE NEED YOU TO ASK, PULL SOME STRINGS AND GET US ON PEOPLE'S RADAR WITH SOME WILSON HOUSE PARENTS PEOPLE POWER!
1.) Does your company/someone you know company have a grant scheme that we could apply for that your involvement in the company might make us eligible or give us a leg up to apply. Do they do any match funding you could utilise?
2.) Can you get us a more direct contact to help so we don't go on the pile along with every other applicant via a general email address?
3.) We desperately need Xmas raffle prizes sourcing - would your workplace/someones you know give us or sponsor a prize for us?
4.) Do you own a small business or know one that might donate us a prize/voucher?
5.) Share our fundaising Just Giving Page in case anyone would like to donate - https://www.justgiving.com/charity/wilsonhousescouts
SHARE OUR POST WITH YOUR FRIENDS IN CASE ANYONE CAN HELP US via our Wilson House Scouts Public Page!

WILSON HOUSE ARE RUNNING THE HOT FOOD REFRESHMENTS THIS SUNDAY (Sausage Baps, Burgers, Cheeseburgers) - We are desperately fundraising for a replacement minibus for our ailing older bus. Please come join us and help our efforts, fetch the family, have a ride on these fantastic little trains (£1). We are a huge group now - every section uses our minibuses and benefits from us having them for varied events and cost savings in transport. Our last fundraisers here have had a pretty disappointingly low turnout from squirrels, beaver, cub, scout families popping along which is a shame so if you can bob, fetch the family and enjoy a burger and train ride please do! Please share this too so any friends/family know too who might enjoy a visit to this wonderful mini railway.

Share far and wide! Let’s get everyone we all know putting their blue tokens in our Wilson House pot at Tesco until 30th November. Available in all 3 Crewe Tescos. One quick share to spread the word will make a huge difference to our group 🙏🏻
