This year we need everyones help in a huge push to raise funds for a new second hand minibus to replace our oldest ailing minibus. All our sections (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and our associated Explorer unit) benefit from our 2 minibuses which cut down transport costs and makes attending camps and activities so much more accessible for us all.
WE NEED YOU TO ASK, PULL SOME STRINGS AND GET US ON PEOPLE'S RADAR WITH SOME WILSON HOUSE PARENTS PEOPLE POWER!
1.) Does your company/someone you know company have a grant scheme that we could apply for that your involvement in the company might make us eligible or give us a leg up to apply. Do they do any match funding you could utilise?
2.) Can you get us a more direct contact to help so we don't go on the pile along with every other applicant via a general email address?
3.) We desperately need Xmas raffle prizes sourcing - would your workplace/someones you know give us or sponsor a prize for us?
4.) Do you own a small business or know one that might donate us a prize/voucher?

WILSON HOUSE ARE RUNNING THE HOT FOOD REFRESHMENTS THIS SUNDAY (Sausage Baps, Burgers, Cheeseburgers) - We are desperately fundraising for a replacement minibus for our ailing older bus. Please come join us and help our efforts, fetch the family, have a ride on these fantastic little trains (£1). We are a huge group now - every section uses our minibuses and benefits from us having them for varied events and cost savings in transport. Our last fundraisers here have had a pretty disappointingly low turnout from squirrels, beaver, cub, scout families popping along which is a shame so if you can bob, fetch the family and enjoy a burger and train ride please do! Please share this too so any friends/family know too who might enjoy a visit to this wonderful mini railway.

Keep an eye out for us and our pegs. Maybe a prize is in order if one is handed in at the next Youth Forum 👀.

Bet you couldn’t find us without the X 😂 (the long white tent below) - Wilson House Scouts along with Fiennes Explorer Unit are currently living their best life over at Chamboree 2026 with 6000 other scouts and guides from all around the world 🌍

Bagged ourselves a plot with a view over on Savannah sub camp 🙂

Tesco Blue Token Scheme 🔵

Wilson House Scouts will be available to vote for at all 3 Tesco stores in Crewe from today (Vernon Way, by the railway station roundabout and on Crewe Road)

🛒 Every time you shop, you can pick up a blue token and vote for us. Please share the post far and wide on social media - we need your support to get as many votes as we can.

The grant will help to fund equipment for our fantastic Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts to carry on thriving in scouting and making memories for life.

Our scouts Wilson House Scouts will also be there running the hot food tent as a fundraiser for our group too at the fantastic Peacock Railway! We are raising funds for a new minibus so bring the family down, buy a burger and a drink and have a ride on the fantastic mini trains - support two amazing causes for the price of one and really great fun for everyone young and old!

Our Diesel and Modern Locos Running Day will be held this Sunday 17th May!
