Another lovely autumnal morning with the MudBugs, sharing porridge and cinnamon baked apples around the fire 🔥 ☀️

It looks like we're in for some dry weather tomorrow!

Whilst we're not shy of a little rain, it looks like we're due for quite a bit tomorrow morning, during our MudBugs session 🌧️

And whilst we haven't got any shelter, this isn't fun for anyone! We've made the decision to cancel tomorrow's session- but we'll hopefully be back next week as usual!

Our best pumpkin, Pierre, lovingly tended to by Clive, has gone off on an adventure to Windmill Community Gardens for their annual pumpkin competition!

Good luck Pierre! We can't wait to hear the results 🎃

Massive news! We’ve got our very first local business signed up to the Compost Club! 🪱

A huge shout out to Lauren at Ginger & Blue for jumping on board and believing in what we're doing!

All their coffee grounds are now heading straight to Rotney, to get turned into garden gold instead of ending up in landfill. ✨

If you're heading to the country park this weekend go grab a coffee from Lauren, and know that the grounds will be growing community food in no time at all!

The Hungry Caterpillar put up a great fight...but Rotney takes the crown! 🪱✨

Thanks to everyone who took part in deciding our composters new name, that was a lot of fun!

We are so lucky to be part of the wonderful Nottingham Growing Network, and as part of the network we have very gratefully been awarded funding towards our MudBugs stay and play sessions!

Which means as we head into the colder month we can share food, stories and songs around the fire.

Today we had crumpets, and pitta breads with freshly picked peas with a garden herby dip!

Big thank you to the NGN for keeping our MudBugs well fueled for a Monday morning of movement and play!

Thank you to everyone who came to our autumn open day today, a lovely sunny day, filled with composting education, seed saving greatness and delicious food!

Huge thanks to Notts Seed Network for bringing seeds and a wealth of information and Katherine for a brilliant workshop on composting!

So great to share a sunny afternoon with so many who came down to see us, thank you! ☀️
