RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre

RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre It costs the shelter around £500,000 a year to help local animals. Registered charity number 503759

The RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre Trust is an independent charity which receives no financial assistance from the National Lottery or Government and is separate from the national RSPCA. Each year the RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Shelter cares for many hundreds of animals as they are brought in by RSPCA Inspectors or members of the public having been found abandoned, injured or as victims of cruelty and

abuse. All of our funds are raised locally from members of the public, companies and other organisations.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been dropping off towels, blankets, bedding, dog & cat beds to our donation station in the foyer at Radcliffe Animal Centre. ❤

Thanks to your incredible generosity, our storage areas are currently overflowing with donations! We are so grateful for the support our animals receive from our wonderful community.

As we work through and organise the fantastic stock we already have, we would be very grateful if anyone planning to donate these items could hold onto them for the next couple of weeks, if possible. This will give us time to create some much-needed space before we welcome more donations.

Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to support the animals in our care. We couldn't do it without you. ❤

💕😻 A labour of love for our cats 😻💕

Meet Patricia, who has generously knitted over 100 beautiful blankets for the cats in our care.

Each blanket takes around 15 hours to knit and assemble, meaning Patricia has dedicated an incredible 1,500 hours to helping our cats feel safe, warm and comfortable. To put that into perspective, that's the equivalent of more than 62 days of continuous knitting, day and night, without stopping!

The blankets are placed in our cat pods, giving them a cosy place to curl up while they wait for a home of their own. When they are adopted, their blanket goes with them, carrying familiar smells from the cattery to help make the transition to a new home a little easier.

Thank you, Patricia, for the time, care and dedication you have shown in making such a difference to the cats in our care. ❤️🐾

🏡 Could you open your home to a rescue dog?

Some of our dogs are looking for foster homes, with the hope that this will lead to adoption in the future.

A foster-to-adopt arrangement gives dogs the opportunity to settle into family life while allowing potential owners to get to know them before making a long-term commitment. ❤

If you've ever considered giving a rescue dog a home but would like the chance to build that relationship first, fostering could be the perfect option.

Find out more about our current fostering opportunities here: https://rspca-radcliffe.org.uk/animals/dogs/

Please note: fostering opportunities are only available for specific animals and will be clearly stated on their profile.

Meet Heidi ❤️

This lovely five-year-old Jack Russell Terrier is looking for a loving home once again.

Sadly, Heidi returned to our care due to her owner's ill health, but she's taking everything in her stride. As you can see, she loves zooming around our fun & run area and making the most of every day! ❤🐾

Heidi is looking for an experienced owner, a home where she can be the only pet, and any children should be of secondary school age.

Find out more about Heidi here: https://rspca-radcliffe.org.uk/animal/heidi/
