Your referrals matter 💛

Sometimes a young person has the ambition and determination to move forward, but the cost of training, course materials or essential equipment stands in their way.

That’s where Y-NOTTS may be able to help.

If you work with someone who:

✅ Is aged 16–30
✅ Lives in Nottinghamshire
✅ Faces a financial barrier to training or personal development
✅ Wants to improve their employment prospects or become more financially independent
✅ Has explored other available funding

Please tell them about Y-NOTTS.

Whether you’re a support worker, tutor, youth worker, careers adviser or community organisation, your referral could help a young person discover an opportunity they didn’t know was available.

Applications can take up to three months, so please encourage young people to apply well before they need the funding.

Sometimes, one practical item or training course can open the door to a new opportunity. 💛

Y-NOTTS grants have helped individuals take positive steps towards employment by funding things such as:

💻 Laptops for learning
👨‍🍳 Materials for catering courses
🏗️ Forklift training
💇 Hairdressing course materials
⚡ Electrician courses
💅 Beauty courses

Every person’s circumstances are different, which is why our grants focus on the support they need to move forward.

For Mason, flying is more than a passion - it is his pathway towards confidence, independence and a future career. ✈️

We were pleased to support Mason with funding towards his flying lessons, helping him continue his journey towards gaining his Private Pilot’s Licence and pursuing his ambition of becoming a commercial airline pilot.

Every application we receive is considered on its own merits, allowing us to support young people in a way that reflects their individual circumstances, goals and potential. 💛

We are dedicated to providing pathways to fresh beginnings and enhanced employability prospects. ⭐️

Our mission centres on helping young individuals aged 16 to 30 in Nottinghamshire who face financial hurdles in accessing education or training.

We also support people who have the ambition to set up their own business and need finance to achieve their objectives. 💼

Through essential funding, the charity, led by a close-knit team of trustees, diligently strives to provide a brighter future for those who meet our criteria.

Supporting young entrepreneurs in Nottinghamshire 💛

We recently supported Lynden with funding to help develop a business that will serve his local community.

As part of his application, Lynden provided a clear business plan, including local evidence of need, costings, and how the business could become sustainable.

For business-related applications, trustees will need to see a business plan alongside the standard application form.

⚽ From idea to impact.

With the right support, a passion can become something truly powerful. Through Y-NOTTS funding, Katie was able to launch , creating fun, consistent sessions that keep children active and connected in her community.

💬 “Y-NOTTS completely changed the game for me! They gave me the chance to create something special, exciting and meaningful for my community.

The funding enabled me to purchase all the necessary equipment and secure sports halls for weekly sessions, making it possible to run consistent and effective weekly activities.

I would 100% recommend Y-NOTTS because they help turn dreams into reality. Thanks to their support; children in my community are staying active and having lots of fun playing the best sport in the world.”

👏 This is what investing in young people looks like.
