We've been out in our communities, celebrating achievements, supporting important causes and bringing people together across Portsmouth. Here's a look back at some of the highlights from the last few weeks:

1. Afternoon Tea to celebrate our amazing Foster Carers ☕
2. Hosted our first Wellbeing Day 🌿
3. Foster Walk at Lakeside 🚶‍♀️
4. Hosted the first Portsmouth Fostering Friendly Business Summit at Portsmouth Guildhall 🤝
5. Designed our very first Fair Ways bus 🚌
6. Attended Chichester Pride as stall holders 🏳️‍🌈
7. Sponsored the Spark Community Spring Ball ✨
8. Hosted a live carving event for the Fair Ways Phoenix at Gunwharf Quays 🐦‍🔥
9. Came 2nd in the Lakeside charity football tournament ⚽

Last month, we hosted the first Portsmouth Fostering Friendly Business Summit at Portsmouth Guildhall, bringing together local organisations as Portsmouth continues to lead the way as the UK’s first Fostering Friendly City. 💜

What started as a vision to better support foster carers in the workplace has grown into a city-wide movement. Thanks to the commitment of local organisations and community partners, Portsmouth is creating a culture where foster carers are recognised, valued and supported.

By signing up to the Fair Ways Fostering Friendly Employer Charter, employers are helping to make a real difference to the lives of foster carers and the children they care for, ensuring flexibility, understanding and support are available when they are needed most.

A huge thank you to every organisation that has joined us on this journey so far. Together, we are proving what can be achieved when a city comes together to support children and foster families.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday for the unveiling of the Phoenix installation at Gunwharf Quays. 🐦‍🔥

It was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate this important milestone in the Fair Ways Phoenix Journey. We were honoured to hear from local leaders and project partners who have helped bring this vision to life.

The Phoenix now stands proudly at Gunwharf Quays as a symbol of strength, transformation, and new beginnings. This is just the beginning of the journey and we are excited for the official opening of the Fair Ways Phoenix Journey at Hilsea Lines later this year. 💜
