We would like to welcome back to the Gretton Parish Council , Jacki Lilley.
She stepped away from the council to concentrate on personal issues, but now has decided to bring her experience back to us.
We look forward to working together once again.

Fullwell Avenue.

A resident had informed us that repairs had taken place on Fullwell Avenue, but they were concerned about them.
I went and took photographs etc and passed this onto our NNC councillor's, Cllr Eddie McDonald NNC and Cllr Barry O'Brien.

At last nights Gretton Parish Council meeting, Cllr O'Brien, informed us that this was a new method of filling in potholes, with a different compound, that did not require sealing around the edges. It's apparently faster and better.
The gravel left behind is something that will be brought to the attention of the contractor.

We just wanted to let residents know that we are working with the 2 councillor's from NNC to ensure that work in the village is completed properly.

Issues are still ongoing but we are working together to solve them.

Thankyou.

Dog Fouling.

Once again this issue is raising its ugly head.
It is a problem, the recreation ground is used by many and a few are spoiling it.
I do understand that a bin has been removed, but this doesn't excuse it.

If this isn't resolved then the council will be looking into ways of enforcing this.

If your dog is off the lead, please observe it.

For all the responsible owners, thankyou.
It seems the few spoil it for the many.

Announcement.
Andy Page, has decided to step away from the Parish Council at the moment, for personal reasons.

On a personal note, Andy is a Gent. When I was having my own personal issues, he contacted me to make sure I was OK and if there was anything he could do, even though he had his own issues to contend with.
It's at times like this, that you really get to see the real person.

I do genuinely wish him the best and thankyou for joining us.

The Parish Council can take up some time, it's often forgotten that people like Andy have given up their time for the village.

Steve
Chair.

Bus Service w/b 24 August
Due to the installation of the Zebra Crossing outside the school next week and the necessary closure of Kirby Road, unfortunately the Lawson's Bus Service will be disrupted.
There will be NO bus to Market Harborough on Tuesday. The bus to Stamford on Wednesday and into Corby on Friday will run as usual but will arrive at the Village Hall slightly later, as it will need to come via Rockingham.
Thank you.
