RDA Stratford upon Avon Riding for the Disabled Association We rely solely on voluntary help, fundraising and donations to deliver our services.

Established in 1968, Stratford upon Avon RDA is one of over 500 groups attached to the Riding for the Disabled Association but operates as a separate registered charity. The group is based at The Stable yard, Home Farm, Compton Verney CV35 9HJ where sessions are currently being offered on Monday morning and Tuesday afternoons. We rely on volunteers to support the day to day running and fundraising

activities of the group and more details can be found on our website. We provide support to either adults or children so if you have a disability whatever it might be then RDA could offer you an opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy yourself as well as enjoying the therapeutic benefits that horse riding can offer.

It was a pleasure to welcome to the yard, Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Stratford upon Avon, President Steve Turner, David Taylor and Terry Abrey, so that they could see us 'in action' on such a glorious day and meet with our riders and volunteers. A big 'THANK YOU' for the donation of £500 to enable us to purchase new tack for our ponies. We are so very grateful for your continued support.

We are one of the charities nominated in the Stratford Waitrose store for their green token scheme. It looks as though we are just behind being in with a chance of being first with the tokens. Please go shopping there and grab a handful of tokens for our Group. Thank you.

It’s been an exciting start to the new year! Seb worked hard to achieve his Grade 1 riding award, riding Jessie.

Anna finally received her rosettes & medal, following her success in the RDA virtual dressage championships…. Diesel also has a plaque for his stable. Well done both!

It’s not only about riding…. Matt embraces the opportunity to do groundwork with Diesel, in our new Horsemanship Area, as well as getting stuck-in, helping prepare haynets…. all while enjoying banter with his helpers! Never a dull moment when Matt’s around!

Christmas hats and jumpers were in abundance at our Christmas party. As well as riders, PA's, families and volunteers who came to celebrate, we were delighted to welcome along others who support our group in so many other ways, Our rider sponsors and donators who have supported us financially, our vets and saddler who ensure our ponies are kept in tip top condition and those who have maintained and have improved our facilities. Thanks to everyone's collective efforts, we've come a long way since taking on the yard a year ago. Our riders loved making up little Christmas gift bags for their ponies. A lovely way to start the Christmas festivities!

Jaguar Landrover volunteers out with the paintbrushes again! Team 'Body Chassis' Tom, Mat, Osama, Jamie, Tim, Matthew, Lee, George, Sivaram, Nitin, Nimmy, Neyaz, Jeeth, Gavin and James went all out in our office, stables and store room. They cleaned and painted metal beams and stained more wood. It all looks fantastic. Thank you so much. Your support and enthusiasm to help has been amazing.
