Addington Fund

Addington Fund A farming charity. Supporting farmers and rural communities, across England and Wales, in times of need since 2001.

Providing:
🏠a comfortable home
✋a helping hand when disaster strikes
🚜or a chance to build a future in farming. Addington Fund was set up in 2001 as the Churches’ response to Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), when it distributed grants totalling £10.3 million to over 22,000 applicants. With our focus now on rural housing, we provide homes for families needing to leave or retire from the agricultural i

ndustry. In times of emergency and where hardship is evident, we continue to support farming families through Forage Aid. Addington Fund offers grants to farmworkers on low incomes through the George Stephens Trust Fund.

“Hear ye, oh hear ye!” 🔔

On Tuesday 4 August, our Fund Director, Sue English, was honoured alongside 100 other remarkable people at St. Mary's, Warwick, as a Warwickshire Changemaker. 🧡

Sue was recognised for her dedication to supporting farmers and rural families through her work with Addington Fund, as well as her contribution to the local community in her village of Napton.

Following the presentation by Karen Lynch, High Sheriff of Warwickshire, the celebrations continued with a special picnic tea at Warwick Castle 🧺🏰

Congratulations, Sue! 🎉🧡

📢We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded a £50,000 grant from the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust.

🧡 Emergency relief, helping farming families facing unexpected hardship and difficult circumstances

🌱 Supporting the next generation to take their first steps into farming through our New Entrant Grant Scheme

This latest grant will enable us to continue providing vital support to farming families when they need it most, while also helping the next generation establish and grow their businesses.
