Honestly, you lot are incredible. ❤️

Every single time we put one of these posts out, you come through for us and somehow it still blows my mind every time. The donations that have been coming in make such a difference, and we are SO incredibly grateful to every single person who has donated, shared our posts or helped us keep the pantry stocked. 🥹

If you’ve been thinking about donating but just haven’t got around to it yet, I’ve updated our Amazon Wishlist with the last bits we need. 🛒

There are also a few things that are much cheaper to pick up in the shops, and we’re desperately in need of:

⚽️💚 £900 RAISED!! 💚⚽️

We honestly cannot say a big enough THANK YOU to everyone at Tekkers Community Football Club for organising the charity football match in support of The Pantry Patch.

An incredible £900 was raised for us! 🥹

For a small community pantry like ours, £900 is a HUGE amount of money and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who organised the day, played, donated, supported and helped make it happen.

When we started The Pantry Patch, we genuinely had no idea how quickly it would grow or just how much support we would receive from our community. Having local clubs and businesses get behind what we’re doing means more than we can properly put into words.

And as for that £900… 👀

We already know exactly what we’d like to put it towards.

It’s something VERY exciting for The Pantry Patch and, if everything goes to plan, something we’re hoping we’ll be able to announce very soon. 🤞💚

So for now, we’re keeping our mouths firmly shut (which, as you can imagine, is difficult 😂).

But most importantly…

A little honest post about the reality of running The Pantry Patch ❤️

These two photos pretty much sum up what the pantry looks like at the moment - one is what it looks like when we restock it, and the other is what it looks like by the end of the day.

And honestly, we’re incredibly proud that it’s being used this much. It means it’s doing exactly what we set it up to do. But keeping up with that demand is getting tough.

On average, it costs us around £750 a month to keep the pantry stocked, even in months where we receive good donations. Last month, with just three people donating food, over £1,000 worth of stock went into the pantry, including around £250 that we covered ourselves. Our funding is stretched, and having just run our Wrapped Up for Winter scheme, I really couldn’t justify dipping into it any further.

The donations we did receive helped hugely, and we are genuinely so grateful to everyone who contributed. ❤️ But donations have been so much quieter than usual and, as you can see, we’re running desperately low on stock.

So, as cheeky as it feels to ask… we could really, really do with a good donation month.

We’ve updated our amazon wish-list but there are a few things we get through ridiculously quickly that I haven’t been able to find on Amazon at a sensible price:

• Beans & sausages
• Tinned meals - curry, chilli, beef stew etc.
• Hot dogs
• Chocolate spread

There are three ways you can donate:

🛒 Amazon Wishlist - this literally takes seconds and is probably the easiest way to donate. I’ve updated it with everything we’re most desperate for.

🥫 Food donations - if you’re able to grab a couple of bits while you’re at the supermarket, donations can be left on our doorstep at 18 Halstead Road, CO3 9AE.

❤️ Financially - donations can be made directly to our Pantry Patch bank account.

Even one or two items genuinely make a difference. Nobody needs to fill a trolley or spend a fortune, lots of little donations are what keep these shelves going.

And if you can’t donate, sharing this post helps us too.

Not only did we get lots of our lovely new coats and boots delivered today, but our second-hand clothing rails were an ABSOLUTE SUCCESS! 🧥👏

A massive thank you to everyone who came down, donated, supported us and helped make today such a success. We couldn't do this without you!

🧥 WRAPPED UP FOR WINTER - SECOND-HAND FREE COAT RAILS! 🧥

We're all ready for tomorrow! Our coats have been washed, checked and are now hanging on their rails, ready for their new homes! ❤️

We've got over 60 coats in all different sizes, with a fantastic range for girls, boys, men and women!

We've also got a few pairs of shoes and some absolutely gorgeous hand-knitted hats and blankets! 🧶

The Pantry Patch, 18 Halstead Road, CO3 9AE.
Tomorrow, Saturday 26th September ⏰ 10am - 4pm

The rails will be out next to the pantry, so come along, have a browse, if it fits, it's yours to take home! ❤️

Unfortunately, we're unable to reserve anything, so everything will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

☀️ Fingers crossed the weather holds out! We've got plenty of coats, but we'd rather not have to test how waterproof they are! 😂

WRAPPED UP FOR WINTER UPDATE! 🥾

Almost all of our brand-new coats and boots are ready to go! 🙌 I’ll be contacting everyone by the end of today to arrange delivery. ❤️

AND… our second-hand rail is out this weekend!

We’ve had some absolutely AMAZING donations, with a brilliant range for girls, boys, women and men.

Everything has been washed and checked, ready for its new home. ❤️ I’ll also be trying to upload some pictures of what we’ve got over the next few days so you can have a little nose beforehand!

It’ll be out ALL DAY SATURDAY so please do come along and have a look. ❤️

Simple as that. Take what you need and give something lovely a new home… rathe than letting me become emotionally attached to a million coats. 😂🧥

🧥 SECOND-HAND COAT RAIL - THIS SATURDAY! - 26/09/2026 🧥

Weather permitting, we’ve decided to put our second-hand coat rail out next to the pantry this Saturday! ❤️ This is open and stocked for Adults and Children.

No forms, no need to message us, just come along, have a look, try something on and if it fits, it’s yours! 🥰

I’ll be spending this week washing and sorting all the lovely coats that have been donated ready for Saturday.

One little plea! If you were planning to donate any coats, boots or other winter bits, please, please, PLEASE could you drop them off before Wednesday 🙏 That gives me enough time to get everything washed, organise and ready to go.

Hopefully we can get lots of coats onto lots of people who need them. ❤️

P.S. For all of our parents who successfully received funding for a new coat and boots for their children, through our Wrapped Up for Winter initiative, we’ll be in contact with you this week with a delivery date. ❤️

We are so excited that Tekkers Community Football Club are playing a community match for my little pantry, I know I ask a lot but please please come and support us!!! We are so incredibly grateful to them for helping us, so let’s make it a big one!! ###

🐐💚 NEXT UP FOR THE VETS 💛

It’s almost time for another big day for the Tekkers Community FC Vets, and this one is about much more than football. On Sunday 27th September, our Vets take on FC Byair Vets in a special charity match at Wormingford Village Hall, with kick-off at 2:30pm.

The game is being played to raise money for The Pantry Patch, supporting the fantastic work they do within our local community. It’s a chance to bring together old players, new friends, football and community spirit for a really worthwhile cause. Different shirts, same cause — and we’d love to see as many people as possible down at Wormingford to support both teams and help us make a difference.
