💜 International Overdose Awareness Day 💜
Monday 31st August 2026

Behind every statistic is a name, a face, and a family who loved them. This International Overdose Awareness Day, we're coming together to remember them — and to stand with everyone still fighting.

North Lanarkshire Recovery Community and Phoenix Futures Scotland are proud to host this day of remembrance and hope together 🤝

🌹 What's happening:
📍 Meet at The Basin, Coatbridge — 12pm to 3pm
🚶 A gentle walk together to the west end of the park
🌹 Roses Ceremony — laying roses in memory of those we've lost to overdose
☕ Then back to Phoenix Family service for refreshments and a blether

Everyone is welcome. Whether you've lost someone, you're in recovery, or you simply want to stand with your community — come along. Remember loved ones, support one another, and stand together to end overdose 💜

The kids are now back to school... so how about a fresh start?

If you're looking for support for parents in North Lanarkshire and wondering how to get back into work that fits around the school run, our Working for Families team would love to have a chat with you over a cuppa! 😊

We're hosting two relaxed coffee mornings where you can pop in and have a chat.

Find out how we can support you with things like free training, flexible working options, job search help to return to work and money & benefits advice. There are no expectations, you can just come in and have an informal chat.
