Leam, Kirsten, and Trish spoke with TAG members about staff supervisions and appraisals and how they could be involved. Members shared great ideas and questions they would like managers to ask. Leam will now develop these into an accessible format for the people we support to complete. Dave the Zoo Man brought along a variety of animals and creepy crawlies. Everyone enjoyed learning interesting facts, and some had the chance to pet the rabbit, hen, guinea pig, snake, mouse, and cockroach. The visit was fun, educational, and enjoyed by all as can be seen by the photos.

We had our meeting last week not the best turn out as some of our members were on holiday, It was good meeting and we spent time going over the arrangements for our upcoming TAG meetings which includes a visit from a mini zoo, an awareness talk from a Bowel Cancer Rep and our Annual Xmas Party. Trish also joined our meeting and folk were interested in attending a presentation which Alistair will host about person centred planning and what’s involved with organising this. A few of our members were also keen to provide their own personal experience of engaging with social work around their support which will assist them in improving their services and Trish will speak with them directly to organise this

We had a really good turnout at our April meeting we made our plans for the year ahead; Trish joined us to speak about the recruitment process and a few of our TAG members are now involved in the current panel to interview for staff which is really positive. Lastly, we said our goodbyes to Carole the SDM from Key and Alistair joined us for her retirement presentation.
