Shining Stars ASN Theatre School - SCIO Shining Stars ASN Theatre School is a registered charity; (SC050431) Shining Stars is a theatre school for anyone with an additional support need.

We offer workshops in; Drama, Musical Theatre, Dance, Drama Therapy, Makaton Choir, and Arts Therapy. Shining Stars Theatre School is a school for children and adults with Additional Support Needs. Shining Stars has been awarded Makaton friendly status by the Makaton charity. We offer workshops in; Drama, Musical Theatre, Dance, Drama Therapy, Sensory Drama, Film Club, Relaxation & Mindfulness, and a Makaton Choir. Members can participate in DofE awards, hi5 awards and dynamic youth awards.

Any of our stars coming along to October camp over the next 3 days. Please wear old clothes - we're going to be crafting and carving pumpkins as well as a load of other activities.

See you all tomorrow 11am onwards!

Another award ceremony week done and dusted here at Shining Stars 💛🌟.
It's been a very special week celebrating everyone's hard work and success. It's been a week full of absolute joy!
It's not often I sit back and take it all in but I did this week and it's been so humbling.

Massive thank you to everyone for coming along, and thank you to my team for everything you all do at Shining Stars. I'm so lucky to have you all be a part of Shining Stars - you have no idea how thankful I am to you all.

Tonight at our award ceremony we had the pleasure of giving this big guy a send off before he moves on to a new venture. We didn't tell any of his friends he was coming and left it as a big surprise.

There were tears from all of us adults. People don't realise just how attached you get to everyone who comes along.
When I say it's been an absolute pleasure having this boy at Shining Stars, I really mean every single word. He is one of the most wonderful, kindest, gentlest souls that I have ever had the pleasure to teach. He has taught me so much.
To watch him grow into the fine young man that he is now, and watch his confidence grow is just a privilege that I get to be a part of.

We wish you so much joy, and good luck in your new venture, and I just know everyone will love you as much as we do 💛.

Don't be a stranger, big guy 🌟.

Tuesday night awards (we're missing some as they're coming to another day/night for their award).

Honestly, nights like this make all the hard work and all the absolute nonsense I need to deal with sometimes so worth while. I say it all the time that I have the best job in the world, but I really do. Seeing my stars happy is always the goal.
Awards week at Shining Stars is really special and reminds me why I do what I do.

Tonight we gave out two special awards:

🪽 Laura Morgan Memorial Award
🪽Robert Slavin McCurdy Memorial Award

So tonight was filled with all different kinds of emotions.

Can't wait for night number 3 tomorrow 💛.

We have a few people to thank recently here at Shining Stars.

Alfie's big pal Fergi is raising funds for Shining Stars by doing an ultra marathon from Glasgow to Edinburgh. This is the second time he's done it for us and raised lots of money.

Adam O'C's uncle took part in the Great Scottish Run and raised over £800.

Thank you so much to you both - we appreciate everything you all do for us. Although, I think if any of the team had to do anything like that we would be in the hospital 😅 🫠.
