Last week, we carried out our Housing Estate Walkabout in Clacton, where a couple of residents joined us.

Having residents attend these walkabouts is incredibly valuable. While weโ€™re only able to see a small snapshot of the area during the time weโ€™re there, you know your neighbourhood inside and out. Your insights help highlight issues or concerns we might otherwise miss, and that makes a real difference.

Make sure you attend this weeks estate walkabout in Manningtree, tomorrow, Wednesday 17 June!

This week, 15thโ€“21st June 2026, is Loneliness Awareness Week.

Loneliness is something most of us experience at some point in our lives, and it is completely normal. It is our mind and bodyโ€™s way of telling us that we need more meaningful connection.

You do not have to be alone to feel lonely. It can happen even when you are around others โ€“ at work, in relationships or online โ€“ if you do not feel understood or connected.

This week is about starting conversations and breaking the stigma. There is no shame in saying you feel lonely. Talking about it can be the first step towards feeling better.

A simple message, a chat, or checking in with someone can make a real difference.

Remember, you are not alone in feeling lonely, and support is out there.

Void Inspections

Before one of our empty homes is re-let, our void inspectors (tenants who are on our Customer Involvement Register) carry out a thorough inspection to make sure it meets our standards.

They also see a โ€˜before and afterโ€™ of each property, helping to ensure everything is completed to a high standard before new tenants move in.

By sharing your feedback on our services, you can help us continue to develop and improve what we offer. These inspections help ensure our homes are safe, well-maintained and ready for new tenants.

This week, we carried out a void inspection in Thorrington on Monday (8th June 2026) and a second inspection in Mistley on Wednesday (10th June 2026)

Want to get involved?
If you are a tenant and would like to help shape our services, you can sign up to our Customer Involvement Register by following the link in the comments section.
