Since Fighting with Pride was founded over six and half years ago we have connected hundreds of LGBTQ+ Veterans across the country and from around the world.

Many of you have shared your stories, lobbied, campaigned, travelled the ups and downs of the campaign and shared the pain of the delays.

As we await the outcome of the application for a Judicial Review, there is a deadline looming. 12th December 2026 is the end of the road for applications for both Discharge Dismissal Payments, Impact Payments AND NON Financial reparations.

We believe there are upto 1000 more people to come forward. In the first thirty day of our Battle For Lost Veterans campaign we found 50 more Veterans who between them could be eligible for more than £3,000,000 of reparations.

We don’t want anyone to miss out. So as well as asking LGBTQ+ People- DID YOU SERVE? We are also asking a wider question of everyone?

Please share and post this message and graphic to encourage others to come forward and ask your friends family and neighbours to share too.

The next Veteran to come forward could be someone who is now in their early 40s or under in their late 80s.

Let’s not leave anyone behind.

We are delighted to be supporting the launch of The Welcome Walk on Friday 7th August 12-2pm, a collaboration between Colchester BID and COLLIDESCOPE - celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community spirit in our city centre!

Starting at the route through the city sees participating businesses display welcome signs in different languages, recognising the many cultures, communities, and voices that make Colchester such a vibrant place to live, work, visit, and do business. Because a welcoming city is one where everyone feels seen, valued, and respected.

After the walk there will be arts, crafts, stalls and music at Curzon Colchester until 4pm. This event is free to attend so please join us to send a simple but powerful message: "You belong here"

A statement from the UK Pride Organisers Network on the incident at Berlin Pride.

Tonight, our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic incident at Berlin Pride.

Pride events exist because our communities deserve to gather safely, visibly and without fear. While the full circumstances are still being established, we stand in solidarity with Berlin's LGBTQ+ community, the organisers, volunteers, emergency services, and, above all, the victims and their loved ones.

Across Europe and beyond, Pride organisers remain united. We will continue to work together to protect our communities, defend our right to peaceful assembly, and ensure that hate and fear never silence our voices.
