💙 One challenge. Two great friends. One truly wonderful cause.

Friends Ross and Glenn took on an incredible rowing and walking adventure from Plymouth to Felpham all in support of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

‘Drake to Blake’ was a challenge driven by friendship and a shared desire to make a difference. And what an adventure it was!

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Ross and Glenn have raised an incredible £14,585.72 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, which could help fund a patient bed on our Ward for almost three weeks, allowing us to provide expert care and compassion at the Hospice.

A HUGE thank you to Ross and Glenn!

💬 “This five-day trek covering approximately 50 kilometres will be in memory of every patient, carer, and family member I have had the privilege of nursing, caring, and supporting throughout my career and those yet to come.” - Nicola, a St Wilfrid’s nurse and one of our upcoming Sahara Trekkers.

In October 2027, you are invited to join our exclusive Sahara Trek - walking with other people who are passionate about ensuring that everyone in your local community has access to free-of-charge palliative and end-of-life care.

But it isn’t just a trek, by taking part and fundraising, you’ll be helping to raise vital funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, supporting us in providing this vital expert care to everyone who needs it within our catchment.

Did you know that 1 in 4 of our patients are cared for thanks to gifts left in Wills?

Leaving a gift in your Will to St Wilfrid’s Hospice is one of the most powerful ways to leave a lasting legacy in your community. Even just leaving 1% of your estate in your Will can help us provide expert end-of-life and palliative care across our catchment area.
