At St Wilfrid’s Hospice, we’re helping more people receive expert care in the place they most want to be, through our new Rapid Response Team.
As Medical Director and Consultant in Palliative Medicine, I see how important it is for patients and families to have the right support when someone’s condition changes.
Our Rapid Response Team is helping us provide that support, bringing specialist hospice care into people’s homes when they need it most. By responding promptly, the team can help manage difficult symptoms, reassure families and, in some cases, prevent an unnecessary hospital admission.
But this care is only possible because of the generosity of people in our community.
