🌱 Charity dedicated to youth development and personal growth through outdoor experiences This beautiful spot is easily accessible by road and lends itself to the range of activities and outdoor courses that we have on offer. Although we are specialists in RYA sa

iling courses and powerboat courses, BCU canoeing and kayaking courses and British Cycling mountain bike courses, the Centre is not just about outdoor adventure activities. Schools, colleges and universities throughout the UK use us for outdoor education courses. Our aims are:

* To help educate young people, to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved.

* To give young people in the local area the opportunity to experience challenging outdoor activities, both water and land based. As a result, around 30,000 sessions involving young people from over 60 schools, youth groups and individuals are carried out at Cobnor Activities Centre every year, and around 400 of these individuals are disabled or disadvantaged.

Our raffle and silent auction are live, and these prizes are well worth a look.

In the silent auction, you can bid for a Canute Cottage escape with chef and sailing - one brilliant prize for anyone who loves good food, time on the water and a proper treat - or a Corporate Regatta Day for 20 guests, perfect for a team, group or memorable day out.

The raffle is looking pretty exciting too, with prizes including Mamma Mia! in the West End with dinner and an overnight stay for 2, Adventure Golf at Chichester Golf Club for 4 people, and a return trip from Sparkes Marina to East Head for up to 4 with Chichester Harbour Charters.

A summer celebration by the water 🌅

On Saturday 4 July, we're marking 30 years of Cobnor Activities Centre Trust with a full day of activities, live music, great food and community by Chichester Harbour.

There'll be opportunities to try your hand at bookable activity sessions including keelboat sailing, climbing challenges and other Cobnor favourites - a chance to experience a little of the adventure that has helped generations of people build confidence, skills and memories here.

Throughout the day, enjoy a fantastic mix of local food and market stalls, browse our silent auction and raffle packed with brilliant prizes, and soak up the atmosphere as Cobnor comes together to celebrate this special milestone.

From late afternoon, live music will bring everyone together by the water. As the sun begins to set, we'll light the firepit, settle in for an evening by the harbour, and round off the day with an outdoor film screening.

Are you an experienced outdoor instructor looking for your next adventure?

As Cobnor celebrates 30 years of inspiring young people through outdoor learning and adventure, we're looking for enthusiastic, motivated and professional instructors to join our team for the 2026 season.

Based on the stunning waters of Chichester Harbour, you'll deliver a wide range of activities including sailing, paddlesports, climbing, bushcraft and environmental education to schools, youth groups and residential visitors.

Essential Requirements

✅ RYA Senior Instructor or Paddle UK Paddlesport Leader

✅ Minimum 2 years' experience working in an outdoor activity centre

✅ Excellent leadership, communication and group management skills

✅ Passion for delivering safe, engaging and inclusive experiences

What You'll Be Doing
Delivering high-quality activity sessions both on and off the water
Leading and supervising groups of children and young people
Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
Supporting the wider instructional team
Creating memorable experiences that build confidence, resilience and a love of the outdoors

The raffle and silent auction are live! 🎉

This year marks 30 years of Cobnor Activities Centre Trust as a registered charity, and we’re inviting the Chichester community to celebrate with us on Saturday 4 July 2026 by Chichester Harbour.

As part of the celebrations, our raffle and silent auction are now open, with some brilliant prizes already up for grabs.

In the silent auction so far, you can bid for:

As we celebrate 30 years of Cobnor Activities Centre Trust, we’d love to gather photos, stories and memories from the people who have been part of Cobnor over the years.

We’ll be marking the occasion with a special community celebration at Cobnor on Saturday 4 July, and we’d love to share some of those memories as part of the build-up to the day.

Maybe you came here on a school trip, worked or volunteered with us, brought your children along, or have a photo from a day by the water that still makes you smile.

We know so many people have fond memories of Cobnor, and we’d love to celebrate the people, stories and moments that have made it what it is. You might even spot yourself, an old friend, a classmate or someone you haven’t seen in years!
