🌊 | Shop Local, Support Our Harbour 🌊

A morning like this on the Millpond says it all… boats resting in the water, a quiet nod to Emsworth’s rich fishing heritage, and a community that’s always thrived by backing its own ⚓️

Spending £1 locally makes a real difference — around 63p stays right here in our community, compared to just 40p with larger chains. That means more local jobs, stronger businesses, lower carbon footprints, and a more resilient, thriving town.

And what a town we have…
🥩 & 🍞 keeping traditions alive
☕️ Greengrocers , vibrant cafés & pubs
✈️ Independent travel agents ready for your next escape
🌿 eco shop championing sustainability
🎨 celebrating local creativity

Today’s the perfect day to soak it all in…

❄️ A beautiful start to the week in Emsworth ❄️
Snow gently falling across the village this morning — magical to see, but please take extra care on the roads and pavements.

Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who gave their tomorrow so we could have our today.

We honour those from Emsworth who served, sacrificed, and in many cases, never returned. Their courage protected our peace, and their memory lives on in our town and in our hearts.
Lest we forget. 🌺

Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our freedom will never be forgotten. 🌺

📍 Emsworth – Where the Downs Meet the Harbour Here’s a little snapshot of what makes our village special.

Emsworth sits right at the point where the South Downs roll down to Chichester Harbour, giving us a mix of coastal views, local wildlife, and great walking routes on the doorstep.

One of our favourite evening routines is a lap around the millpond. With a clear view across the water watch the swans gliding by and the harbour lights reflecting as the day fades. It’s a simple but brilliant way to enjoy the village.

We’re lucky to have a strong choice of pubs and independent spots for a drink, plus some fantastic restaurants if you’re planning a meal out. Fresh, local seafood is a big part of the food scene here.

Or, if you want to keep it casual, grab fish and chips and sit along the seawall overlooking the harbour, nothing fancy, just a great view and fresh sea air.

Emsworth is also well connected. Positioned on the 700 Coastliner bus route and the Southern Rail line, the village is easy to reach by road or rail and of course, by sea for those visiting by boat.

Emsworth blends coastal character with a friendly, relaxed feel. Whether you’re visiting or live locally, there’s always something to enjoy here at your own pace.
