HAYRACK NOW WORKING IN CONNECTION WITH DWP

We are so happy to be able to support local people who are looking to take their next steps into employment.

Jobcentre Plus offers Work Experience placements to help individuals of any age who may not have recent work history. For young people, it can be the crucial first insight into the world of work. For older individuals returning after a break, it provides the confidence, skills, and routine needed to re‑enter employment.

Another wonderful private evening event bringing together all the families from APS.
From meeting and hand-feeding the animals to bottle-feeding our lambs, it truly was a fantastic evening enjoyed by everyone — complete with plenty of ice cream and lots of happy faces.
Families with SEN children love visiting the Hayrack. We pride ourselves on being inclusive, adapting to and understanding each child’s individual needs. The farm offers a great enclosed space where children can explore and play freely, giving parents the reassurance of a safe and supportive environment.
We loved having you all with us and can’t wait to welcome you back for another evening event this summer.
All the children also received free vouchers to return for another fun-filled day at the Hayrack.

CHESTER UNIVERSITY STUDENTS REVISIT THE HAYRACK

We’re excited to welcome back our University of Chester graduates and work-based learning students once again this year.
Hayrack has proudly supported these placements for many years, offering students valuable hands-on experience with animals in a real working environment—an essential foundation for their future careers.

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL VISIT

It was so lovely to meet all of the wonderful families from CLUB CWTCH
We welcomed around 100 people on an evening visit to the farm.
They all took part in:
- feeding the animals
- bottle feeding the lambs
- animal meet and greet
- making a bird feeder
- animal mask making
- Easter trail

We also had a visit from the Easter bunny who was giving out tasty treats to the children.

🥰 Another satisfied parent 🥰.
Our learning outside the classroom program is flying. We never imagined just how much these sessions are changing children’s lives.
Our staff are amazing mentors and love what they do. Sessions are great for SEN children and those not in school.

Today we had a fantastic visit from students at Reaseheath College who came to the farm as part of their course enrichment programme 🐐🐑

Experiences like this are incredibly valuable for both the students and our animals, and we’re proud to support hands-on learning for the next generation of animal care professionals.
