In order to create space for the new, I've decided I need to let go of a few things. These things I am extremely proud of, and are hard to say goodbye to but now just feels like the right time. One of these things is My Mammoth Mission 😢 . I'm also currently finding social media very 'noisy' and distracting, giving me even more reason to step away now.

I've absolutely loved creating this platform and still can't quite believe I achieved (survived 😅) My Mammoth Year.

Thank you so much to everyone for all their support and for coming on this crazy rollercoaster with me. I seriously couldn't have done it without you ❤️

Some good guesses but no one got it quite right. Aung Bo currently weighs almost 5 tonnes, 4934kg to be exact.

☀️ Sunsets of Assam ☀️

After a very stressful few days (and likely a few more to come) I really wish I was back in India experiencing some of these glorious sunsets once again ❤️

Warmer temps this weekend means regular routines can resume. However with Storm Isha fast approaching 🐘 and keepers alike may want to spend a bit more time indoors 😅.

When temperatures drop we always keep a closer 👁️ on the weather forecasts and adjust our day accordingly. Elephants aren't really designed for freezing temps so when it does turn chilly, we ensure they have as much access as possible to inside areas. This means that if they do decide to brave the cold outside, they always have somewhere warm to return to.

One of the best moments of our trip ❤️

Seeing 🐘 in the wild is always magical. But seeing them alongside other species like rhino, gaur (bison) and buffalo was truly magical. We could have stayed on that watch tower for hours just taking it all in 😁

And there you have it...welcome to 2024!

The last few months of 2023 flew by in an absolute blur 🙃. One of the year highlights obviously being my adventure to India. My smile in this photo says it all really! I can't wait to share what we got up to. Trip content pending I promise ☺️

Only a few days in and 2024 is already packing quite the punch. Lots of challenges and changes afoot. I'm currently feeling equal measures of excitement and overwhelm. But if you've been following for a while you'll know I'm not one to back down easily 😜

2024 is also looking set to be a (another) busy year for the Chester Zoo 🐘team. My intention this year is to be a bit more active again on socials. So hopefully you're ready to come along for the ride ❤️
