TV chef Matt Tebbutt, award-winning school chef Amber Francis and educator Matthew Burton will be joining us at the School Food People Show & Forum on 7–8 July 2026 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

🍽️ Matt and Amber will take to the School Food Live stage with practical culinary demonstrations, fresh ideas and inspiration for school menus.

🎤 Matthew Burton, best known from Educating Yorkshire, will open the event with a keynote session exploring education, leadership and supporting young people.

As the UK's only national event dedicated entirely to school food, the Show & Forum brings together professionals from across the sector for two days of learning, networking and innovation.

🎉 The School Food People Awards for Excellence 2026 Shortlist Announced! 🎉

We’re delighted to share that the shortlisted finalists for the School Food People Awards for Excellence have now been revealed.

These awards recognise the outstanding individuals, teams and organisations who go above and beyond to make a real difference in school food and education catering, delivering exceptional services that positively impact pupils, students and their families.

This year saw a record number of entries, making the judging process tougher than ever. Congratulations to everyone who has made the shortlist, an achievement in itself and a testament to the incredible work taking place across our sector.

🏆 Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner on Wednesday 8 July as part of the School Food People Show & Forum in Birmingham.

We look forward to bringing colleagues from across the industry together to celebrate excellence, share best practice and recognise the people and teams driving our sector forward.

We’re excited that the School Food Exhibition by the Food Museum will be featured at The School Food Show on 7–8 July 2026, marking a celebration of 120 years of free school meals.

This special feature will take visitors on a journey through the history of school food, from early welfare provision to today’s modern, nutritious school lunches. It will highlight key milestones, cultural change, and nostalgic memories of school dinners across generations.

The School Food Show will also bring together a 160+ supplier exhibition, live demonstrations, and interactive workshops, alongside delegate packages including forum sessions, networking dinners, and accommodation.
