Delta Housing We are a locally managed and governed charitable housing association, based in Chelmsford, Essex. Delta Housing is the largest housing association in Essex.

This is the official page for Delta Housing, we will respond to all questions and queries asked. We own and manage over 17,000 homes across Essex and its neighbouring counties, many of which are for social and affordable rent. Established in April 2026, and with offices in Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea, we were formed through the merger of CHP and Estuary, two long-standing and well-respected housing associations.

Our Delta in Bloom gardening competition has now closed🌻

Thank you to everyone who entered - we've loved looking through all your beautiful plants and flowers, and it's clear we have lots of talented gardeners!

The winners will be contacted by mid September, and we'll be sharing details of the winners and their entries in the October edition of our customer magazine, Your Home.

Private fostering is when a child/young person under 16 (18 if disabled) lives with someone who’s not a close relative for more than 28 days.

It’s a legal requirement for parents and private foster carers to tell the Local Authority about private fostering arrangements.

This is important so that the Private Fostering Team can conduct safeguarding checks and ensure that private foster carers can provide a reasonable standard of care.

How can you help?
Many people don’t know about this legal requirement, so private fostering arrangements are often unreported. If you become aware of one, or have any concerns, call Essex Social Care on 0345 603 7627 or visit essex.gov.uk/privatefostering.

Summer fun in Southend 🌞

Our final Summer Fun day was a great success, and it was fantastic to see so many of our customers and their little ones enjoying the activities. We were also joined by local councillors, the fire and police services, and the SAVS council for voluntary services, who were all on hand to provide advice and support.

This was our last Summer Fun event of the year. We held four throughout the school holidays, and want to thank everyone who came along to one. We hope you all enjoyed them as much as we did.

Summer fun in Maldon 🌞

We brought our pirate-themed games to Maldon yesterday for another afternoon of summer fun with the local community. From hook-a-duck to digging for buried treasure, our little pirates enjoyed plenty of adventures.

The final event will be at Woodgrange Drive Estate on Monday 24 August. We hope to see you there.

On Tuesday, we held another Summer Fun afternoon, this time in Great Dunmow. It was fantastic to see so many of our customers and their children enjoying the pirate-themed games and activities in the sunshine.
