🌞 WEATHER & LEADERSHIP FUN 🌞

With the hot weather, we had a non-uniform night but had a great opportunity for our Junior Sea Cadets to learn more about the weather, particularly, what is good for us to go boating. We also had great fun doing a leadership activity, particularly needing good communication throughout.

Our Sea Cadets, had an introduction to General Sea Terms and our first New Entry Cadet (NEC Toni), got to try on his new uniform (Sea Cadet badges pending):

🪢 PARADE NIGHT FUN 🪢

Our first evening for our Sea Cadet section (12-17 year olds) on a Friday and on their own.

Undertaking their introduction to Bends and Hitches, whilst also having fun with heaving lines. Although the heaving line became a skipping rope 🤣

🫡 READY AYE READY 🫡

Many congratulations to PPO (SCC) Jamie Stroud, who was promoted this evening to PO, following completion of her core modules. Congratulations PO (SCC) Jamie Stroud!!

It was truly fantastic to welcome our new Sea Cadets (ages 12-17). They had a great evening being introduced to the Sea Cadets and what we will be doing as a Unit.

Our Junior Sea Cadets, had a great night recapping about our Sea Cadet Promise and what that means to us as Sea Cadets 🫡 They also had an introduction to the basic pipes on a Boatswain’s Call, so they can do more at Colours. A wonderful start to learning the calls!

🟦 TONIGHT - JOIN OUR SEA CADETS! 🟦

It isn’t too late to come and have a look…. Aged 12 - 17 years old?

Sea Cadets is now in Carmarthen and we already have a Junior Sea Cadet section, who are aged 9 to 11 years old now OPEN.

We are delighted to bring you the launch of our Sea Cadet section for our 12 to 17 year olds - with our Open Evening on Friday 12th June 2026, 1830 (6:30pm) to 2030 (8:30pm).

❓Thinking about joining Sea Cadets? Here’s why it might be one of the best decisions you make 🌊⚓

If you’re between 12 and 17 years old and looking for something more exciting than just staying indoors, Sea Cadets gives you the chance to try new things, meet new people, and build real confidence.

You’ll get to learn awesome skills like sailing, kayaking, first aid, and even navigation — stuff you won’t usually learn at school. There are also opportunities to go on camps, trips, and adventures across Wales and even the UK.

It’s not just about activities either. Sea Cadets helps you grow as a person. You’ll build teamwork, leadership skills, and resilience, all while having fun and making friends who share your interests. 💪

Worried about experience? Don’t be. You don’t need any — just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to try something new.

Whether you want adventure, confidence, or just a place to belong, Sea Cadets has something for you.

Why not give it a go? 🚤
