Today is
International Artist’s Day honours artists and all the contributions they make...we may be biased but Arts Care Gofal Celf's artists are just THE BEST 🫶

This photo may only show two of our artists but it captures the passion and enthusiasm that ALL our artists ooze.

Just this week staff from our Creative Recovery project shared their appreciation for one of the artists...
"Thank you so much for facilitating an amazing project at Cwm Seren. It was hugely appreciated by patients and staff. Thank you for going over and above to make amazing artwork a reality".

Others have commented as follows..

“Learnt new skills in an encouraging and stress free environment. You always find such lovely people to lead these workshops. They give so many people the opportunity to develop new skills in a nurturing environment. Thank you for providing these sessions. You enrich our lives”

"Tutor was very good and felt she was very aware of everyone and their different support needs in the session"

"The artist has a brilliant, kind and relaxed teaching style which I loved, I learned so much with ease".

"The tutor's are very professional and well prepared for every session"

"They are all very different teachers but all very attuned to the room and what people will need from them".

"The artists are all patient, kind people, very skilled in what they do and enthuse the people attending about the topics they teach"

"The workshops are run by experienced tutors and provide all the materials required for each session. This makes it very relaxing and is beneficial for our mental health and confidence to try other activities. The artists are very experienced and teach us in a very calm way".

We could go on and on and on!

HUGE THANK YOU to all the ACGC artists.

What an incredible team you are.
Years of experience, knowledge and learning, full of passion and talent, wrapped into wonderfully skilled and special personalities. We hope you have a lovely International Artists Day 💃🕺🪡🧵🍃🎨🫟🎭🩰🪇🪘🎸🎺🪗🪉🎞️📽️📸🏺📖🖌️🖍️🖋️

Hot off the press on this wet and windy Friday, find your Friday vibe with a little track called Oui Oui Paris...

It is a music track created in just a short series of sessions at Cwm Seren mental health ward recently, as part of our Creative Recovery project.

The project is funded by The Arts Councils Health and Wellbeing fund from the National lottery and has been supporting patients across five mental health in-patient wards as well as young people via the Early Intervention in Psychosis team (EIP).

With special thanks to Bongo Clive and staff at cwmseren, 'Oui Oui Paris' is here for all to enjoy 🙌

Well done everyone | Da iawn pawb

Beautiful outcomes from one of our recent Arts and Dementia in-patient project sessions, oozing Autumnal creativity 🍂🍃🍁🎨

The project offers artist led creative sessions to support patients who have dementia or who are experiencing cognitive decline. A touch of creativity to brighten time on the wards, offering opportunities to connect, create and support wellbeing while in hospital. We are currently supporting programmes at South Pembrokeshire hospital, Withybush, Glangwili, Prince Phillip and Llandovery.

Today we have music and singing at the South Pembs site and tomorrow we see textiles return to Glangwili. Earlier this week, Withybush enjoyed some willow weaving. Last week we saw drawing and painting in Llanelli and had stories and writing booked in for Llandovery.

All the arts doing their bit to support people 🫶

Today is October 22 and 'it celebrates the vibrant and powerful role color plays in our lives. This fun National Day is a time to appreciate how color affects our moods, communicates ideas, and adds breathtaking beauty to our world'.

These images from last week's workshop in Carmarthen as part of our Creative Communities project are full of colour and inspiration, with thanks to Pauline for leading. Next session tomorrow 🎉
