Carmarthen Fresh Start for Hens

01/11/2026

3 of yesterdays girls in their new home ❤️

31/10/2026

A really busy, but very satisfying day today, we had a new record for us, number of hens, 378 plus a boy, and the majority of them have gone off to their new homes with some of you and the rest to be rehomed tomorrow. They were all well covered, well mannered girls heading into retirement 🐔 and we go again on 14th November. Www.freshstartforhens.co.uk to register and reserve yours!

Emails have gone out to everyone that is rehoming with us this weekend at Carmarthen. We're going to be super busy with almost 400 hens to rehome and 44 of you wonderful rehomers to accommodate. Please bring suitable cat carriers/dog crates or hen crates for your hens. If you're using cardboard boxes please make sure that they are robust, big enough and taped to help us make things go super smoothly on the day. We're looking forward to seeing you all 🐔

180 ex commercial barn chickens from South Wales found their way to a decent retirement and the chance to regrow some feathers this weekend. They were a bit of a scruffy bunch and a little bit wild at times, but now they get the chance to experience some sun on their backs and some grass under their feet, thanks to you giving them new homes!

We reopen again on Saturday 31st October with some organic free range hens from over the border www.freshstartforhens.co.uk to register and reserve and we'll see you then 🐔
