We’re delighted to share some fantastic news! 🎉

Our Torfaen Floating Housing Support service, including our BSL support offer, has been recognised at the TPAS Good Practice Awards, achieving an outstanding 2nd place in the Resident Support/Advice Programme category.

This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the impact the project is making in improving accessibility and supporting our communities.

We also want to take a moment to recognise Candice, our Deaf Awareness Support Worker, whose dedication, passion and commitment have been instrumental in the success of this work. Inspired by her experience supporting a Deaf client, Candice began learning BSL and deepening her understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by the Deaf community. This journey led to the creation of her current role, where she continues to provide invaluable, inclusive support.

Candice consistently goes above and beyond, supporting clients, championing inclusion, and truly bringing Stori’s values to life.

It was also a fantastic evening at the TPAS Awards, with our team and a client joining us to celebrate this success together, making the recognition even more special.

👏 Congratulations to everyone involved, and a special thank you to Candice for her incredible contribution. We’re very proud!

We would like to share that our Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Belcher, will be leaving Stori later this year after accepting a CEO role with another organisation.

Andrew has been a valued leader over the past three years, guiding Stori through an important period of growth and development. Under his leadership, we have achieved a great deal, and we are deeply grateful for the commitment, integrity and professionalism he has brought to the role.

While we are naturally sorry to see him go, we fully support Andrew in taking this next step in his career and wish him every success for the future.

Andrew will remain with us for the next six months to ensure a smooth and structured transition. During this time, we will work closely together to maintain continuity and stability across the organisation. The Board will also begin the process of recruiting a new Chief Executive, and we will share updates in due course.

We remain focused on our priorities and confident in the strength of our team as we move forward into this next chapter.

Andrew said:

“It has been a real privilege to serve as Chief Executive of Stori over the past three years. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and grateful for the dedication, talent, support and shared purpose of colleagues across the organisation; it truly has been a team effort.

While I’m looking forward to the next chapter, I’ll leave with great appreciation for the people I’ve had the pleasure to work alongside. I’m also pleased to be staying on for the next six months to support a smooth transition in leadership.

I wish everyone at Stori continued success as the organisation goes from strength to strength, making a meaningful difference to people’s lives across Wales.”

Yesterday, we were proud to sponsor and attend Tai Pawb’s Annual Conference 2026.

The event brought together colleagues from across the housing sector, all driven by a shared commitment to promoting equality in housing for everyone.

It was an inspiring day, filled with thought‑provoking workshops and standout moments including the Pathway to Board graduation, a moving lived‑experience poem, and powerful keynote speeches from Prof. Matthew Williams and Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government, Jayne Bryant MS.

A huge thank you to Tai Pawb for creating such an energising and meaningful space for conversation, learning, and action. We’re already looking forward to next year.
