The Board of Stori is delighted to announce the appointment of Necia Lewis as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Necia will take up her new role from Monday 5th October 2026.

Necia brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and commitment to the role, having worked across the organisation in a variety of positions over the past 20 years. During that time, she has played an important role in helping shape and develop Stori, building a strong understanding of our services, our values and the communities we support.

The Board has made this appointment with great confidence and is pleased that Necia will lead the organisation through its next phase of development. Her extensive experience, proven leadership and deep understanding of Stori provide strong foundations as we continue to deliver against our strategic priorities and ambitions.

Following a recruitment process undertaken over the summer, the Board decided not to make a permanent CEO appointment at this stage. While several strong candidates were considered, the Board concluded that it was important to continue the search for the right leader to guide Stori through its next chapter of growth and development.

The Board will begin a new recruitment campaign for a permanent Chief Executive Officer in September 2026. Our aim is to have a permanent CEO in post by April 2027.

Everyone at Stori wishes Necia every success in her new role.

🏄‍♀️🌊 Surf's up! 🌊🏄‍♂️

We'd like to say a huge thank you to the amazing teams at Ocean Therapy and Progress Surf School in Llangennith for kindly providing a free day of surfing for our families.

Thanks to funding from Swansea Council's COAST Grant, a group of families had the opportunity to spend the day at the beach, try something new, build confidence, and most importantly, have lots of fun together.

A special thank you to the instructors, who were patient, supportive and great fun, helping everyone feel confident and enjoy their time on the water.

Experiences like these create lasting memories, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone at Ocean Therapy and Progress Surf School for making the day so special.

Thank you for giving our families such an unforgettable experience.

This afternoon we are delighted to announce that Stori has once again achieved a Green / Green regulatory rating following its latest regulatory review.

The regulator confirmed that no material concerns were identified during the review, awarding Stori a Green rating for both Governance and Service Delivery and Financial Viability. This represents the highest level of regulatory assurance and reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to strong governance, financial resilience and high-quality service delivery.

Maintaining a Green / Green rating is a significant achievement and provides assurance to clients, tenants, commissioners, partners and stakeholders that Stori continues to operate effectively, manages its resources responsibly, and remains well positioned to deliver its strategic objectives.

As a small specialist housing association, we are particularly proud of this outcome. The rating recognises the dedication of colleagues and Board members across the organisation and demonstrates that size is no barrier to achieving the highest standards of governance, service delivery and financial management.

Hugh Irwin, Chair of Stori, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have once again achieved a Green / Green regulatory rating. This is a fantastic endorsement of the strength of our organisation and the commitment of our colleagues and Board members.

For a small specialist housing association operating with limited resources, maintaining the highest level of assurance for both Governance and Service Delivery and Financial Viability is a significant achievement. It reflects the dedication, professionalism and expertise that exists throughout Stori and our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality services for the people and communities we support.

I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this success. This recognition belongs to the whole organisation and provides a strong foundation as we continue to build on our achievements and deliver positive outcomes for our clients and tenants.”

DASU will provide floating support services in North Gwynedd and Ynys Mon
