Coming Home, Cardiff

Coming Home, Cardiff Through this process of engaging in the external rebuilding of a locality, they embark on their internal journey. From the inside out.

Coming Home, Cardiff is a social enterprise that works with vulnerable women in Wales to empower their reintegration and become activated citizens involved in the regeneration of local communities. To achieve this, they repair fragile social bonds through local solutions by asking what assets already exist in them and how these assets can be built on for the benefit of the community. ABCD (Asset

Based Community Development) reverses the power structure in delivery of services: it is about growing inherent strengths and instead of asking “how can we help you?” asks , “what do you already have and what can you already do?”

We are a locally based , committed and skilled team supported by a strong network of employment partners and vital rehabilitation services. By working closely and providing links within these affiliations, women are able to secure a framework and infrastructure to support sustainability. Coming Home, Cardiff understands that the key to sustainability and building a future is safety - being in a home, but we don’t cease our service once this has been achieved. Once a home has been established, we provide hands-on support in order for citizens to gain skills, budget, seek employment and build further skills.
