Dear Friends,
The charity would like to bring you up to date with the latest charity's news.
Firstly, after 5 years of holding "The Hill 112 Memorial Foundation We Will Meet Again", Military Festival and Country Fair July Show at Betteshanger Country Park, the trustees and I have decided not to continue the show as part of our fund raising.
We wish to thank you all for your support given to the show and to the charity over the last 5 years which has been marvellous, but wish to make it very clear we will not be involved in any other commerical venture that is run along the lines of "We Will Meet Again" show.
Should the charity run another event where your support and services are needed we hope as friends of the charity we can call on you.
We will be continuing to raise money throughout the coming year with other events so we would value your continued support.
Our next event will be the documentary "A Canterbury Tale" being shown at Exeter University on 12th November 2025 at 7.15pm. So please let everyone know in case they are in the area. All support would be welcomed.
With our friends in Normandy "Odon Cote 112 Association" we continue to work on improving the Hill 112 site.
Our aim this coming year is to improve the paths and edges, to improve the area within the tree rings, to lay a membrane to restrict w**ds and to improve moisture. finally cover with small gravel to enhance the general look against the veterans' plaques.
To build a small memorial wall around Albert's memorial and make good the ground area with a better surface to restrict w**d growth again and to improve access.
As you can read we still have much fundraising to do.
We will of course be attending events in the coming year advertising the charity, selling plaques, DVD/USB of "A Canterbury Tale" documentary, books, T-shirts and caps all of which make a wonderful contribution to our fund raising.
