As our 10th Anniversary year has come to a close, we're reflecting on some truly incredible moments. 💙

Together with our amazing delivery and corporate partners, we've celebrated the impact we've achieved for children & families across the UK. From our biggest-ever Sysco Charity Day and fundraising challenges, to birthday celebrations, our first-ever Big Give campaign, and a special evening dedicated to recognising achievement, our 10th year was full of moments that showcased the power of working together.

Most importantly, we reached a remarkable milestone: supporting the provision of more than 2.8 million healthy meals.

While we're incredibly proud of what we've achieved, we know the need for our support continues to grow. Too many children still face hunger, isolation & the challenges that come with them during the school holidays.

As a small but mighty team, we're ambitious about what comes next.
With our goal of supporting the provision of 1 million meals a year by 2030, we're ready to take on the challenge ahead & continue working alongside our partners to create brighter futures for children across the UK.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our 10th year celebrations and to everyone who has been part of the journey over the past decade.
Your support has helped us reach this milestone, and we can't wait to see what we can achieve together next.

Because every child deserves the chance to thrive, not only during the school term, but throughout the holidays too.

Back in April, our team, alongside some of our amazing Trustees and extended Sysco family, had the opportunity to visit EMPOWER Youth Zone in Manchester.

We hosted our strategy day there, bringing together a wealth of expertise and experience to explore how we can support children who need us most in the most effective way possible. These days are incredibly important for our team, and we wanted to shine a light on the hard work that often goes unseen behind the scenes. The discussions, planning and decision-making that take place during these sessions have a real impact on our wider work and the children and communities we support.

During our visit, we met with Laura English, who shared valuable insights into the EMPOWER model, how they achieve their impact, and what that impact looks like in practice. It was inspiring to hear about their approach and to see first-hand how far funding can go when it is invested in the right places.

The visit reinforced our commitment to making every pound count and ensuring the greatest possible impact for children and young people. We will continue working hard to achieve this and look forward to sharing more about our strategy in the coming months.

Volunteer Week 2026

This week, we're taking the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the incredible volunteers who support Meals & More throughout the year.

We are immensely grateful to our dedicated team of Trustees, who generously give their time, expertise and guidance to help shape every decision we make for the children and families we serve.

We’re also thankful to the volunteers from our corporate partner network who contribute their skills, energy and time to support holiday clubs across the UK. Their commitment helps create positive experiences and opportunities for children during the school holidays.

Today, and every day, we want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your dedication, passion and generosity make a real difference, and we simply couldn’t achieve the impact we do without you.

We are still reminiscing on a spectacular day supporting the amazing teams from Sysco and Brakes UK who took on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of Meals & More in April.

We’re ecstatic to announce they raised an incredible £17,624.58 plus £2,985.34 in Gift Aid, supporting the provision of more than 20,600 healthy meals for children and young people who may otherwise go without.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part in the first ever IRN-BRU Virtual Marathon throughout April.

It was incredible to see the momentum and support behind the challenge, with so many people getting involved. We’re especially grateful to the amazing teams at AG Barr and -BRU for creating & delivering such a fantastic challenge.

Together, you raised an incredible £5,607.69, plus £1,154.25 in Gift Aid.
