We are saddened to hear of the passing of Roy Hattersley, who served as Chair of Buxton International Festival from 1999 to 2007. We are grateful for his contribution to the Festival and the role he played in its development.

“There is no doubt that Buxton is now a national rather than a regional festival. Indeed, in some ways, we are an international event.”
- Roy Hattersley

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
