Home-Start Levenmouth Home-Start Levenmouth offers support and friendship to families and children under the age of 5. Our volunteers who are all parents themselves.

Home-Start Levenmouth offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children in Leven, Methil, Buckhaven, Kennoway and the Wemyss villages. We offer a unique service for families - recruiting and training volunteers to support parents with young children at home. Just like the families they support, they come from all walks of life and understand the stresses and strains of b

ringing up a family. Home-Start Levenmouth also run the Letham Glen Hub, a family activity Hub offering play, arts&crafts as well as hot food and drinks. Our approach is flexible in order to meet the individual needs of each family offering individual support through our volunteer home visiting or group support at our 'Family Group', 'Baby Cafes' or our Perinatal Service. We realises that a little help at the right time can make a huge difference to families.

This week marks Infant Mental Health Awareness Week, with a focus on the theme of ‘Attunement’.
Being attuned means noticing, understanding, and responding to a baby’s cues — a vital part of helping little ones feel safe, connected, and understood.

Home-Start Levenmouth currently has a vacancy for a

Lead Support Worker
16 hours per week
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Salary £26,208 pro rata
Post currently funded until March 2028

Responsible for undertaking work as directed by the Manager to support the strategic management, development of The Home-Start Hub in Letham Glen whilst ensuring high standards of practice in supporting families within the ethos of Home-Start.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of working with children and families in community settings
• Knowledge of activity planning, including arts, crafts, and creative play sessions.
• Experience of working with volunteers.

Do you have 2-4 hours a week to spare and enjoy crafts, activities, and connecting with people in your community?
We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help deliver craft and activity sessions at our Family Hub, supporting local families and creating a welcoming space for children and parents to come together.

What you'll do:
🎨 Help set up craft and activity sessions
😊 Welcome families and help create a friendly atmosphere
🧸 Support children with age-appropriate activities
☕ Assist with refreshments and general hub activities
🤝 Be part of a supportive and caring team
