the work of the service. Current operations include:

We are looking to appoint new Trustees who live and/or work in Levenmouth.
Prospective applicants are expected to be aware of Charity Trustee legal duties and
responsibilities for which training can be given.
Meetings are held every 2 months on a Monday evening. In addition, situations may
arise in which Trustees may be called upon to perform additional tasks.
It is expected that candidates have good communication, interpersonal and writing
skills with the ability to work within a team and to contribute to problem solving.
Board membership is not a remunerated position, however, expenses necessarily
incurred in performing Board duties will be reimbursed, eg public transport cost or
mileage allowance.

Volunteer Spotlight!

This is what "The Tinkler" has to say:

"My name is Ian and I volunteer at the cafes on a Tuesday and a Thursday. I have been doing this, on and off, for 10 years or more. Sometimes I am involved with serving food and drinks but mostly I enjoy banter (and pool) with the folk that come along.
the cafe is one of the highlights of my week."

Our next “Meet our Volunteers” spotlight is our lovely Claire who says….

“Hi, I’m Claire. I seen an advert looking for volunteers at Levenmouth Foodbank. Having previously been in a position to refer clients needing support from the Foodbank, I felt it would be good to volunteer to help support people requiring assistance from the Foodbank within the local community.

I help in the storeroom and warehouse dealing with donations, stock control, stock rotation and making up food parcels for referrals.

I also help with the monthly primary school visits that help the children learn about aspects of the Foodbank, how it works and why people need to use the Foodbank.”
