🌟 Community Heroes in the Spotlight! 🌟
We’re incredibly proud to share that our club has been featured as part of SGN’s Community Heroes Campaign, after being approached by them a couple of months ago. This project by SGN aims to highlight the difference local groups are making within their communities.
The campaign shines a spotlight on our Cosy Café/Bingo & Blether project – which has become a welcoming space for people to come together, enjoy good company, make new friendships, and help tackle loneliness and isolation within our community.
As part of the campaign, three of our members have helped tell the story of the project. Alistair and Amy have become the faces of the campaign and can now be spotted on local billboards, bus stops and advertising displays across the area. Meanwhile, fellow member Alana – alongside Alistair again – feature in a promotional video, sharing more about the club, the Cosy Café/Bingo & Blether project, and the positive impact it continues to have within our community. It’s wonderful to see the dedication of our members, and the impact of the project, being recognised in such a visible way.
Over the last few years, SGN have been a tremendous supporter of our club and the work we do. Their encouragement, partnership and commitment to supporting community initiatives has helped us deliver projects that make a real difference to local people. Having our work recognised through this campaign means a great deal to us and helps raise awareness of the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels welcome and connected.
We would also like to extend our congratulations to all of the other Community Heroes selected as part of this campaign. Across our communities, there are so many individuals, groups and organisations quietly making a difference every day, and it’s fantastic to see their hard work, compassion and dedication being celebrated and recognised.
A huge thank you to SGN for their continued support and for helping us share our story with a wider audience.
