Mental Health Friends aim is to create communities that comes together to help and support each other. We understand that Mental Health and how we handle it is different and unique for everyone and how you use our local groups is entirely up to you. From friendship and support online, to all events and activities. By being together and not alone, we can find a place

of belonging, understanding and friendship that only those who have been there can appreciate, through either lived experience or by caring for someone with mental health. I personally suffer from depression and social anxiety and have for many years and founded Mental Health Friends in February 2019 to offer support and friendship for others with mental health. With the one and only Andrzej Mialkowski from the original Strictly Brackley and the founder of Step By Step Dance School .

I am writing to ask if you would consider supporting Strictly Brackley 2026, which will take place on 11th July 2026 at 6.30pm at Brackley Leisure Centre .

Strictly Brackley brings together local dancers, businesses, families, and supporters for a wonderful evening of entertainment while raising vital funds for two organisations that make a real difference within our community.

Mental Health Friends was founded in 2019 by Claire Readman following her own mental health journey and those of her children.
Since then, the organisation has provided essential support through:

β€’ Drop-in sessions
β€’ Events, workshops and activities
β€’ One-to-one support sessions
β€’ Essential support to the local community

Step by Step Dance and Arts Foundation a charity organisation dedicated to inspiring communities through dance and the arts.

The Foundation supports local schools, families, and individuals by helping to provide tuition, costumes, and grants, ensuring that financial circumstances do not become a barrier to participation in the arts.

We would be incredibly grateful for any support you may be able to offer. This could be in the form of:

β€’ A raffle prize donation for our fundraising raffle

β€’ Sponsorship towards the cost of producing our event programmes

β€’ Sponsorship to help fund event materials and running costs
