And that's a wrap on another memorable Volunteers Week for R2R. Over 570 (!) inspirational Hidden Heroes were nominated for celebrations across the U.K. this week. Some fantastic pictures and A LOT of well-earned breaks on the way!

This , we were delighted to present our wonderful volunteer, Lauren Cranny Veterinary Physiotherapy, with a Hidden Heroes award from Room to Reward!

Lauren offers her time, skills and kindness every single week (sometimes twice a week!) by providing physio to the dogs in our care at Lincoln Farm.

She’s made such a difference to our rescue dogs, by working alongside our team and vets to diagnose and treat various conditions.

Lauren's amazing support has been helping us to improve our dogs' lives and ensure they can live them to the fullest!

She has also hosted multiple talks to raise money for Margaret Green Animal Rescue.

Room to Reward is a local charity that helps organisations, like ours, to recognise and thank their volunteers, by awarding donated breaks in unsold rooms from their hotel & holiday park partners.

We can't thank Lauren enough for her dedication, and we hope she enjoys her well-deserved break away!

🌟Celebrating three wonderful reading partners, Rowan, Berys, and Dee, who have collectively given an incredible 26 years of volunteering service to DRP!🌟

As a token of our appreciation we were delighted to present each of them with a complimentary hotel break, generously provided by the wonderful charity Room to Reward.

Thank you, Rowan, Berys, and Dee, for everything you do. Your time, enthusiasm, and kindness make a real difference to the children you support, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the DRP team. 💙

We managed to keep this a secret... 👀

Today we surprised Sally with a Room to Reward certificate, which means she's been gifted a free night away!

If you've ever met Sally, you'll know just how deserved this is.

For more than 10 years, she's volunteered with CARE UK Charity. Whether she's sorting clothing donations in the depot, packing clothing referrals, delivering items to those in need, helping with tip runs, or taking new volunteers under her wing, Sally is always willing to lend a hand.

As it's Volunteer Week, it felt like the perfect time to let Sally in on the secret.

A huge thank you to Room to Reward for giving charities like ours a way to recognise and give back to incredible volunteers who spend so much of their time helping others.

Well over 500 R2R breaks have been arranged so far this year. Volunteers' Week is the perfect time to take a look at the impact.

- Coastal adventures, city centre breaks, countryside getaways, even a wedding!
- Volunteers stepping up in Health & Care, Education, Charities, Grassroots Sports, Communities.

These Hidden Heroes are the backbone of our society. Every single one of us benefits from the dedication and impact of volunteers.

Meet the remarkable Louise and Ann, both of whom have spent many years volunteering in the community with Southbourne. Louise was nominated specifically for her role with Songs for the Mind, a singing group for isolated elderly residents, people with dementia and their families and carers. Thanks to Citadines Trafalgar Square London falgar Square London, these 2 self-described colourful grannies enjoyed a break to remember! Volunteers' Week

Over 100 inspirational volunteers from military charities have been given an R2R break over the years. One of the recent recipients was Lizzie, a remarkable Hidden Hero with our friends Army Benevolent Fund. Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers

To kick off Volunteers Week, we’re delighted to share a wonderful opportunity we were able to offer this year. Through to Reward , we nominated two volunteers for a break , giving them the chance to enjoy a 1–2 night hotel stay for two people.

Choosing just two volunteers was incredibly difficult, as every single one of our volunteers is truly amazing. However, this year we are thrilled that Norman and Carol were selected for this special opportunity.

We can’t wait to hear all about where they decide to go and hope they have a fantastic, relaxing time!

We also had the pleasure of receiving confirmation today that Norman’s nomination has been approved as a Hidden Hero – a very well-deserved recognition.
