Ten years ago, a handful of volunteers brought Scouting back to our villages.
Since then, hundreds of local young people have gone camping, learned outdoor skills, built confidence, made friends, and had opportunities they will remember for life.
๐ But behind the scenes, the group is now being run by a very small number of volunteers โ and it is becoming difficult to sustain.
If we want Scouting to continue and grow locally, we need more adults to step forward.
We are currently looking for:
โข A Trustee Board Chairperson
โข Additional Trustees (up to 6)
โข Uniformed volunteers to help with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
Do not worry โ this does not mean a huge commitment:
โข Trustees meet just a few times a year
โข Volunteers can help flexibly
โข Even occasional help makes a big difference
๐ฌ Not you? Could it be a parent, grandparent, former Scout, or someone in the village who would enjoy giving something back?
With more volunteers, we could offer even more camping, hiking and outdoor adventures for our young people and build a stronger, more social Scout Group.
