This is really important. We’ll be talking more about funerals in coming months and good planning. If nothing else, always use a good, independent, local funeral director. Your clergy are always willing to help and advise.

Some photographs from the Nature Count in the Churchyard at St John the Baptist, Moordown on 13th June. The churchyard is blessed with a diverse mixture of grasses and wildflowers that we encourage by leaving the grass to grow for several weeks during the summer. This allows the wildflowers and grasses to self-seed enabling another amazing display the following year.
Many thanks to all those who gave their time and talents on Saturday to identify and record the many varieties who grow in our churchyard.

Thanks to Andy, Jason, John, Chris and Viv who had a good tidy and mow of St Luke's grounds this morning. It looks so much better! Hopefully the community will be able to use the space - the tables and chairs in this glorious weather.

Such a creative and enjoyable way to fundraise! A huge well done to St Luke's Church in Winton. 🎵

More than 200 people came through their doors on Saturday for a 12-hour non-stop Pianathon which raised more than £4,000 towards new accessible toilets and the ongoing transformation of the church into a community hub.

The sponsored event brought together pianists, aged from just 2 years old to over 80, who kept the music playing continuously from 9am until 9pm.

The Rev’d Canon Michael Smith, Vicar of the Parish of Four Saints, said “An extraordinary day! It exceeded our expectations. Throughout the day there was a wonderful atmosphere, full of encouragement from beginning to end for the organisers and the pianists. Seeing so many people from across the community come together; whether to play, sponsor, volunteer, eat or simply cheer people on was genuinely moving.”
