Bournemouth University Computing & Security Society

As part of the Students' Union, we aim to foster a community of like minded people and teach students and faculty about the dangers and practices of the cyber world. At the cyber security society we aim to teach students and external individuals/organisations the risks that are posed to them in society from cyber attacks of various sorts. We will include the education of types of attack, offensive

and defensive training, forensic analysis and incident response. We provide a "sandboxed" safe space to educate students on cyber security practices and foster a community where members of all backgrounds can meet and engage in a regulated manner to discuss and focus on mastering the art of the 1337 haxxors. Meetings consist of 'Capture the Flag' ethical hacking competitions and skill preparation, enhanced learning of cyber skills and management and physical security. We're not all just work, we also host a series of socials and trips over the course of the year (including national ethical hacking competitions) - so if you want to embrace your inner Mr Robot, this is the society for you.
