Good Morning and today sees our Founder David back in the mountains of Wales for the first time in a long time. His itinerary is to hopefully start climbing Pen y Fan around 8am to 8.30am and with a steady pace should be off the mountain no later than 11am.
Signal is poor but as soon as he gets a chance he will update everyone on here. He has taken every precaution and he will be absolutely fine 🙂
If you can support him. in his mad endeavours then please go to

Today marks the beginning of our new financial year for Helping Homeless Veterans UK with our Charity Bookkeeper finalising everything over the next couple of weeks before we hand everything over to our Charity Accountants.
We won't exaggerate in anyway but the last quarter for our accounts has seen a large drop in fundraising events and donations however the income from supporters setting up Standing Orders after our online appeal has certainly made a big difference to our bank account with over 100 donations every month coming through.
We are also fully aware of online trolls trying to destroy our Charities reputation and this is being dealt with by our charity trustees away from Social Media as every charity has to deal with this at some point as you can never please everyone.
We are looking at other income streams for our charity as people tighten their belts which is part of the meetings that we held last week with government members.
We thank everyone for your continued support 🙏 and we are committed to helping Homeless Veterans 👍 🙏 Thankyou

17 tickets remaining and a large number of supporters have been asking us about this year's Christmas Black Tie Event so here are the details.
The Charity Ball will be held on The 12th of December in The Plantation Suite of The Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth.
We have managed to keep the costs down to £65 per person or £600 for a table of 10 which is the same as last years.
We are no longer requesting deposits as so many people cancelled at the last minute last year therefore payment in full will secure your place at The Charity Ball.
Payment can only be accepted direct to our charity bank account and please drop an email to [email protected] so we can send you menus as well as updates. No other forms of communication can be accepted and no reserving of places will be taken.
This event always sells out with a four course meal, live entertainment and a disco as well as the traditional Auction and Raffle.
Refunds will only be issued in exceptional circumstances and we would strongly advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
We love seeing so many of our supporters celebrating the work we carry out as volunteers so come and relax with us and have an enjoyable evening. This is everyone's last chance to get your tickets as this will sell out very soon. We have some of the best surprises for our guests this year and you really do not want to miss this. Thankyou

Our Founder David Wood had the privilege of welcoming the Rt Hon Jessica Toale MP to our Charity Head Office today where discussions took place on many issues we face housing our Country's Homeless Veterans.
We as a charity engage with MPs from all political parties however Jessica who is part of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme at Westminster has always been a huge advocate for our charity and a number of exciting projects we're discussed in today's meeting.
The photo attached is from 2yrs ago when the then Veterans Minister the Rt Hon Al Carns visited The Talbot Mews and it is amazing to have such great support as we progress to being seven years old on September the 15th.
After yesterday's visit by Senedd Members and Cllrs to Guenigault House in Port Talbot this shows that Helping Homeless Veterans-UK are not just housing veterans but that we are committed to making changes for our veterans to hopefully one day completely eradicate homelessness in the Veterans Sector. Please support us in everything we are doing as unpaid volunteers. Thank-you

Our Charity Founder as well as one of our Trustees in Wales had the privilege of welcoming Senedd Members for Wales as well as The Leader of Neath and Port Talbot Council to Guenigault House in Port Talbot today to show them the property and to discuss the issue of Homeless Veterans in Wales. What turned into a 3hr meeting our charity is extremely grateful for the interest shown in our voluntary work and it was unfortunate that The Secretary of State for Wales couldn't be in attendance as arranged due to showing The Prime Minister around the steelworks today but a meeting will take place in the near future.
Arrangements are also going to be put in place for David to speak about our charity work in the near future to the whole of The Welsh Senedd which is exciting news.
A huge thankyou to Fin Pickwell The Armed Forces Liaison Officer Bridgend, NPT & Swansea for all of her help in putting this meeting together and On Friday morning our second big meeting takes place with updates to follow.
For a voluntary run charity where nobody gets paid it was nice to be recognised today. Thank-you for everyone's continued support
Those present in the photo are
Cllr. Steve Karl Hunt and Huw Irranca-Davies MS with Finola Pickwell, David Wood & Stephen Williams
We would also like to thank Cllr Tim Bowen The Armed Forces Champion for attending as well.

This week as our Founder and Trustees return back to our voluntary charity work after our Summer Break we have held several meetings with officials to try and improve the situation with Homeless Veterans in our Country which have proved extremely successful and on Thursday we have a very important meeting at Guenigault House in Port Talbot with several highly influential dignitaries and on Friday our founder David has a meeting with a senior MP to discuss possible funding avenues from Central Government in Westminster. We will of course keep all our supporters updated on all that is going on behind the scenes at Helping Homeless Veterans-UK.
We are extremely grateful to all those that have set up standing orders and continue to fundraise for our charity where we are currently dealing with three new cases that have come through to us since Sunday.
With these donations we are able to help so many more Veterans. Thank-you

Once again we are reaching out to all those that support our charity and we are asking for your help and support.
Our Charity Founder David Wood has just returned today from a well deserved break and he is desperately concerned about that he is taking part in the Twin Peak Challenge the first weekend in September and he is spending more on fuel and accommodation than what has been raised for our charity.
David is paying all expenses himself and we ask that everyone at leads helps him reach hid target.
If you support our veterans getting housed then please support us to do this please.
We have suffered with a lack of charity events and we need to raise funds to get through the winter months.
