📣 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The Swanage Christmas Market is a GO!! 🎄

We’re pleased to confirm that this years event will be taking place on Saturday 5th December 2026, with more than 60 stalls taking part, offering a variety of Christmas themed products and gifts. 🎁

We are delighted to advise that bookings can now be taken. If you would like a stall at the event please download an application for from our website (visit: https://rotary-ribi.org/clubs/page.php?PgID=1010882&ClubID=684) and return it by email to [email protected].

Please note that all bookings will be subject to terms and conditions- viewable on our website.

🏠 SUPPORTING LOCAL DOMESTIC ABUSE SERVICES 💜

Last month, Swanage & Purbeck Rotary Club agreed to donate £1,700 to Safer Horizons, (www.saferhorizons.org) a Wareham based charity which provides free domestic abuse awareness and recovery programmes to victims and survivors of domestic abuse. 💜

The donation provides Safer Horizons with a 12-month supply of course books and materials 📚 for those who attend the programmes.

Sarah Southern, Chief Executive of Safer Horizons said:

‘On behalf of everyone at Safer Horizons, I would like to express our sincere thanks for your generous donation; your generosity will make a real and lasting difference to the people we support. 🙏 Each participant receives a course book to accompany their learning on each course we provide, giving them something they can keep and return to throughout the programme and beyond. These resources help participants to better understand their experiences, recognise abusive behaviours, and begin to rebuild their confidence, self-esteem and sense of empowerment’. 🌱💜

Swanage & Purbeck Rotary Club’s domestic abuse lead, Rotarian Sarah Vile added:

‘My huge thanks go to all club members who took the time to listen to Sarah and Lisa from Safer Horizons who came to speak to our club earlier in the year, and who wholeheartedly supported this donation request – it is another example of the way in which our club recognises the impact of domestic abuse in our communities and steps up to find ways in which to support vital services.’ 🤝💜

These meetings are usually held at the fantastic Swanage Sailing Club.

THE RESULTS ARE IN:

For the Swanage & Purbeck Rotary Street Collections for Nepal.
(Saturday 28th August & Saturday 5th September 2026) 🙏🌎

Come rain or shine, members of Swanage & Purbeck Rotary were out in the community collecting donations for Nepal. We were truly delighted, and frankly overwhelmed, by the incredible generosity and support we received. 💕

We would like to say an enormous thank you to the wonderful Swanage community for helping us raise almost £3,000. ✅

This is a fantastic result and one that will make a real difference. Every penny raised will be sent to SHELTERBOX, a Rotary-linked organisation that is already on the ground providing vital support to the many people sadly affected by this devastating situation.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped to donate, offered words of encouragement, or simply showed their support. We’re also grateful for the familiar faces that have up their tome to volunteer their time, as well as some new one’s too.

Thank you, Swanage, your generosity has been truly amazing! 👏
