🇨🇼⚽ World Cup Spotlight: Curaçao

Today we're highlighting Curaçao, a small island nation with a growing footballing presence and a powerful story of resilience.

One of Curaçao's most recognisable players, Leandro Bacuna, grew up in a football-loving family and worked his way from local football to playing professionally in Europe and representing his country internationally. His journey is a reminder that talent can come from anywhere when young people are given opportunities to develop and believe in themselves.

For many young people in Curaçao and across the Caribbean, challenges can include economic uncertainty, educational pressures, and limited access to specialist mental health services. Strong communities, positive role models, and supportive relationships play an important role in helping young people thrive.

Leandro's story shows that success isn't determined by the size of where you come from, but by determination, hard work, and the support of those around you.🩵
