The Butterfly Hospice Trust

The Butterfly Hospice Trust Your local hospice for local people. The Butterfly hospice sits within 4 acres of grounds near to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincolnshire.

The Butterfly Hospice - We are an independent, local charity working to provide palliative and end of life care to people with a life-limiting illness. We offer palliative and end of life care to anyone over the age of 18 years free of cost to them and their family. Working in partnership with other healthcare providers, the hospice provides inpatient facilities, including symptom control, res

pite and end of life care. We rely on the generosity of our community for the majority of our funding. Our work can only continue with the support of local people, companies and organisations that give their time and money to fundraise on our behalf. Our thanks go to them and our staff and volunteers in the hospice and shops for their hard work and
dedication.

Today is Worldwide Knit in Public Day 🧶💙

It feels like the perfect opportunity to recognise and thank all of the wonderful craft groups and individuals who support us throughout the year.

From syringe driver bags and blankets to keepsakes, decorations and countless other handmade creations, their time, skill and generosity help bring comfort to so many people who use our Hospice.

To everyone who knits, sews, crochets and crafts in support of the Hospice, thank you. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do 🦋

Which cyclist are you? 🚲

The semi-pro, the daily commuter or the all-weather rider who cycles come rain or shine?

This Bike Week, we're celebrating everyone who gets out on two wheels, whether you're chasing personal bests, cycling to work or simply enjoying the freedom that comes with being out on your bike.

If cycling is your thing, why not put those miles towards something meaningful this September and take on our Annual Bike or Hike fundraiser?

Choose from three cycling routes:
🚲 Boston to Anton's Gowt - 8 miles return
🚲 Boston to Tattershall Bridge - 28 miles return
🚲 Boston to Lincoln - 68 miles return

Or, if you'd rather swap pedals for walking boots, you can join us as part of the Hike instead.

Whichever challenge you choose, you'll be helping to raise vital funds to support the work of The Butterfly Hospice Trust.

The Butterfly Release means something different to everyone. For some, it is a moment to remember someone they love. For others, it is a chance to celebrate a life, to reflect on shared memories and to feel close to that person once again.

The connection that remains, is what brings us all together. The love, the memories and the bonds that continue.

In the moments that butterflies are released, there is a sense of togetherness that cannot easily be put into words but is felt deeply by everyone who is there.

What a fantastic fundraising effort from 10-year-old Ferne and her mum, Carrie 🌱

After enjoying a bumper crop in their greenhouse this year, they decided to hold a plant sale outside their home, raising an incredible £147.

Ferne chose to donate the money raised to our ourselves, a wonderfully thoughtful gesture that we're incredibly grateful for.

Support comes in all shapes and sizes and it’s always inspiring to see young people making such a positive difference.

A huge thank you to Ferne, Carrie and everyone who supported the plant sale. Your kindness and generosity will help us continue supporting local families when they need us most 🦋
