Boston/Spalding Junior and newer cadets boating day.

Thanks to Councillor Sandeep Ghosh and Councillor Andy Izard who both donated £1000 each which has helped towards maintenance of our boats we can continue to have great days like Saturday on the water!!

Our juniors and New cadets completed the water safety test 🥶 and were able to have a go in canoes, on SUP boards and finished off in kayaks 🛶. What a beautiful day to be out on the water!

🏎 Boston Classic Car show 2026🏎

Thank you to our president Alison Lynch and Ady who worked really hard getting our recruitment stall and the rowing machine set up, that Megan Featherstone kindly let us use.

Thank you to Boston Classic car show for having us for the 4th year in a row and for making us your Charity of the year, it's very much appreciated 🫡

The cadets, juniors and some of the adults managed to keep the rowing machine going and clocked up 33KM, well done 👏

A few of our more senior cadets and staff were extremely busy parking over 350 cars and directing them. This is a huge help to the organisers.

Lastly, thank you to our adult volunteers and cadets for giving up your free time to help.

Hartlepool Docklands trip 2026.

Boston and Spalding Division Senior and Junior cadets travelled up to Hebburn SCC unit friday, as they very kindly let us so stop over the night, before we headed to Hartlepool Royal Navy museums today.

We went aboard HMS Trincomalee – a warship that’s over 200 years old!! We explored the decks before visiting the rest of the museum.

We then stopped on our way back at pontefract Castle ruins to break up the journey, strecth our legs and get some chips. 👌⛵️.

A huge thank you to our team of volunteers for giving up another weekend and making it possible! 👏

Boston and Spalding Joint presentations.

Juniors had an evening of making fruit cocktails.

Our Spalding Division volunteers received their promotion to probationary Petty Officers, well done to them 👏

For those cadets that attended, we also presented 2 promotions, 15 basic Seamanship and 11 basic first aid, 11 stem, 1 kayak Explore, 2 discover and 1 paddle start! Great effort from the last month of training, and to all the team that made it happen. 👏👏⚓️.

Britannia Royal Naval College

A Boston cadet and 2 members of staff stayed in Dartmouth to visit the Naval college last week. Cadets needed to be over the age of 16 and interested in joining the Royal Navy.

They had a great day out on the water and the beach, enjoying the beautiful weather. They were able to use the bridge simulator, have a go at high ropes and lots of other activities.

A big thank you to the staff that helped support the trip and for Wisbech unit for arranging the trip and inviting us 🫡⚓️

District Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition 2026.

3 of the Boston team ran and supported the District bronze DofE expedition at the weekend in the Bardney/Southrey area of Lincolnshire.

We had cadets from Boston, Wells next the sea , Wisbech and Kings Lynn. The cadets worked very hard and special measures were put into place on the Saturday with the heat. Sunday as the temperature had dropped slightly they had to power through with their full kit. All cadets successfully passed their expedition and were great navigating as a team 👏

Lots of activity this weekend for both Boston and Spalding. Thank you to all the team, UMT, helpers and everyone who has supported us this weekend!
