What a day! 📚 after running the Oldham Half Marathon in the eye if the storm (quite literally), Andy Hall hosted an inspiring afternoon to celebrate the launch of his book, Purposeful Mentoring, and our founder Krish joined him to celebrate Tales to Inspire having become an independent book publisher!

The afternoon was a celebration of everything Andy has achieved, the wisdom he has poured into this book and the power of collaboration. It was full of inspiring stories (including from our Tales to Inspire Champion Steve Hill MBE) and like-minded people and Tales to Inspire are so proud to have been able to make this possible. After all, sharing stories of lived experience is at the heart of everything we do!

Thank you so much to everyone for joining us! If you’d like to order your copy of Purposeful Mentoring, you can order one now via the link in bio ❤️

Fancy an inspiring day out this Sunday? 📚

To celebrate the release of Purposeful Mentoring by Andy Hall and Tales to Inspire becoming an independent book publisher, we are excited to share that after Andy runs the Oldham Half Marathon this weekend, he will be joined by myself and Steve Hill for an inspiring afternoon of stories, reflections and lessons around running, recovery, resilience, mentoring and the power of human connection. Running is a huge part of Andy’s story and this feels like the perfect celebration of the book he’s poured all his wisdom into!

Join us at the Molino Lounge in Oldham this Sunday from 1pm. Tickets are completely free to attend and you can sign up using the link in our bio! ❤️

Will we see you there?!

Oh hey! Long time, no post! 👋

You may have noticed Tales to Inspire has been pretty quiet on socials lately and that’s because I’ve been busy skipping the length of the UK, all in the name of kindness (and yes, you read that right)!

I set off from Land’s End on 18 August and 40 days later, after skipping over 1000 miles, I reached John O’Groats, becoming the first person to ever skip the length of the United Kingdom. I carried out this bonkers journey to collect stories of kindness along the way and raise funds for the wonderful kindness charity 52 Lives - Kindness Charity & their School of Kindness ❤️

It’s been a busy end to the summer, and I’ve spent the last few weeks recovering since getting back, but I’m now ready to get back to it and continue the work we do here at Tales to Inspire, starting with a new episode of our podcast that will be released later this week…

Thanks for all the support as always! I can’t wait to see what this autumn/winter holds for Tales to Inspire 🙌🏻❤️

Could your story save a life?!

Tales to Inspire have partnered with Answer Cancer and Salford CVS to create a series of short, professionally filmed stories raising awareness of breast cancer through the voices of women who have lived it…but we need your help!

We’re looking for 4 women with a connection to Bolton to share their breast cancer journey.

👉 We particularly want to hear from underrepresented voices, including white working-age women, women from Indian, Pakistani, and African communities, disabled women, and neurodivergent women.

You don’t need to be a public speaker or have shared your story before. We also understand just how difficult this may be for so many people and we want to support you every step of the way, in the hope that your story helps save lives.

If this sounds like you or someone you know, swipe through the post to read the full details, and send us an email at [email protected] or a DM to have a friendly conversation about this project!

Thank you for helping us use storytelling to save lives! 🧡

The first batch of Purposeful Mentoring books have been sent out and we cannot wait to hear what everyone thinks!

Two weeks ago, Krish got together with Andy Hall to unveil the books for the first time, sign each copy & send them out to their new owners…and he even sold a book in the process of signing, as someone stopped to ask what he was doing!

We’re so proud of this new chapter at Tales to Inspire and can’t wait to share more information over the coming weeks about how you can purchase a copy of the book now the Kickstarter campaign has ended!

Last week, we attended our first film premiere…and it was for the Tales to Inspire x Youth Leads UK Documentary Film, showcasing the incredible stories of the youth of Bolton, and what an incredibly special evening it was 🥹

Over the last year, we have had the pleasure of leading lived experience sessions on our partnership programme with Youth Leads UK to empower the youth of Bolton, and as part of that programme, we were commissioned with creating a documentary film to showcase the stories of 12 young people from our home town of Bolton, and we honestly couldn’t be prouder of how this partnership has gone!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the premiere last week and to all those who put in so much work to make this possible. It was a truly wonderful evening, celebrating the power of collaboration and empowering our young people to use their voice, and it’s a night we won’t ever forget!

⭐️ AND IF YOU’RE THINKING ⭐️ what is the film is like?! Keep your eyes peeled on our socials tomorrow where we’ll be sharing the documentary film trailer and how you can watch the full film! 🎥🍿

“You hear a lot of people say that young people are the leaders of tomorrow, but we believe that young people are the leaders of today” 🧡
