BMS Singers The BMS Singers are the senior choir at Bolton Music Service. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday at the Music Centre from 7.00 - 9.00 pm. Socials.

We are a choir of all ages and enjoy singing a varied repertoire. Socials are also a highlight of our choir. Who we are...

The BMS Singers are the senior choir at Bolton Music Service. The choir is made up of all ages and singers will have some prior knowledge of choral singing, including reading some notation. The Repertoire has breadth and balance ranging from unaccompanied madrigals to popular

songs and embraces orchestrally accompanied choral works. The choir is an active member of Sing for Pleasure which is an organisation made up of people who greatly enjoy singing together in a non-competitive atmosphere and who wish to encourage choral singing at all levels. Jane has conducted the choir for over 20 years and is assisted by Elaine Lowe and a small team of voluntary supporters. Jane is a trustee of Sing for Pleasure and a director of the Hallé orchestra. She is dedicated to creating opportunities for people of all ages to make music. Regular performances are given in local churches, The Victoria and Albert Halls and in the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. Other venues have included Wakefield Cathedral and the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. Also the choir sings at many different functions to a frequently delighted audience who support the choir financially. Socials are a highlight of the BMS singers calendar. These include regular visits to Restaurants, Bowling, Cinema, Walks, Weekends away and visits to sing days. Why not see if you would you like to sing...
