📢 Seacombe Residents – Have Your Say!

The Pride in Place Seacombe project is gathering feedback from Seacombe residents on how funding could best improve the area.

We’re particularly keen to hear from ethnic minority communities, whose voices are often underrepresented in projects like this.

There’ll be refreshments, translated questionnaires available, and everyone who takes part will receive a £10 voucher as a thank you.

Please note: You must live in Seacombe (CH44) to take part. Residents living elsewhere on the Wirral are not eligible.

Another great Cancer Awareness session was delivered by Mike for the Wirral Change Polish community, using our interactive Cancer Awareness Bingo to make learning fun and engaging. ☺️

The session encouraged conversations around cancer awareness, helping participants learn more about the signs and symptoms to look out for, the importance of early detection, and ways to reduce cancer risk.

It was fantastic to hear such positive feedback from the group, with several attendees saying they found the session brilliant, interesting, and that they had learned a great deal while enjoying the interactive activities. ⭐

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to the Wirral Change Polish community for welcoming us. Working together with our diverse communities helps us ensure that important health messages are accessible to everyone. 💙

📣 Make Your Voice Heard with Youth Voice Wirral!

Youth Voice Wirral is a great opportunity for young people to meet new people, learn new skills and have their say on the issues that matter most to them.

Whether they're interested in speaking up for their community, getting creative through dance and arts, or simply trying something new, there are plenty of free activities and opportunities to get involved in.

Upcoming Youth Parliament opportunities include:
📅Monday 17 August – Votes at 16 workshop with the Ministry of Housing, 4–6pm at Pilgrim Street Arts Centre (ages 14–16).

📅 Tuesday 13 October – Youth Parliament Round Table, 4:30–7pm at Pilgrim Street Arts Centre, where young people will lead discussions with senior leaders, elected members and professionals (ages 11–19, or up to 25 for young people with a disability or social worker).

📅 Tuesday 10 November – Youth Parliament event at Wallasey Town Hall, 5:30–8:30pm, where the chosen theme will be debated and fed into Government (ages 11–19, or up to 25 for young people with a disability or social worker).
