Unlike Sofia and Benji , who were competing at Zolder this weekend , I’ve been a little slow to react, so please accept my apologies for this late post.
Sofia had a great weekend qualifying for her final on both days and finishing a very creditable 5th on each occasion. We’re not surprised at the club by how well you are doing Sofia, we see your progression at every session, just keep doing what you’re doing.
Benji had a more testing time , everything appeared to be going to plan on the Saturday until his bars snapped during the Semi final, it was a heavy fall and Benji took a while to recover. Lesser riders would have probably called it a day for the weekend, but after passing the doctors approval, Benji unsurprisingly ,showed great courage and rode again on Sunday, he demonstrated great fortitude and made the semi’s again , unfortunately that’s where his journey finished.Benji, were not surprised by your courage , as we see it on a daily basis, you are and always have been a good role model for our riders.
We can’t wait to see you both back at the track, coach Quillan has been working on a winter program that will benefit us all.
