AUGUST over and out…
Who’s ready for jumpers and kicking leaves? We had a great August and a very hot one, shout out to our amazing volunteers every session went ahead and was sun safe.
We saved 2 adult Hippopotamus worth of food in just 1 month with the help of our fantastic supporters. If you know of any business that need help in become environmental warriors tell them about us, we save and make good use of items heading to landfill.
Did you spot us in this month Your Bicester, with the help from our friends at Bidfood we provided picnic bags for the Bicester Teddy Bear picnic making sure you all had a fun and an inexpensive day and hopefully explained to your little ones what we do. We have had a great Summer holiday meeting all our younger buddies and watching them discover new veggies and becoming food waste hero’s…
We met lots of new faces and over 500 service users collected food from us in August, we gave away 923 bags of food, and could still provide more so if you haven’t visited us please do.
Your donations went towards 2 huge new fridges that are now located at Sobell house for our Sunday sessions, your kind donations mean we can grow and accept more donations safely for you all, every £1 makes a huge difference to our running and we are growing…
Please be assured we provided the Bicester food bank with any fresh food they needed and supported other community projects, the food we have and give out at our sessions is for everyone who can make use of it and save it from the bin…
